The user starts the data collection by pressing "Start", makes a jump, and stops data collection by pressing "Stop". The application follows the work published by Sauvik Das, LaToya Green, Beatrice Perez, and Michael Murphy, "Detecting User Activities using the Accelerometer on Android Smartphones," July 2010, to calculate the time the user was really in the air ("flying").
You can use this app in your own sports activitites, while teaching a class or doing research. Or you can use it just for fun.
