La collection d’Ordrupgaard fut constituée par un couple féru d’art, les danois Wilhelm et Henny Hansen. Ils rassemblent entre 1916 et 1918 une collection unique en Europe d’œuvres impressionniste et post-impressionniste de la 2e moitié du XIXe et du début du XXe siècle. Une sélection de plus de 40 tableaux est présentée pour la première fois à Paris. De Corot à Cézanne et Matisse, en passant par les paysages changeants de Monet, Pissarro, Sisley et les doux portraits de Renoir, Morisot ou Gonzalès, l’exposition permettra de découvrir des trésors peu connus en France. Seront également mis à l’honneur des artistes aussi emblématiques que Degas, Manet, Courbet ou Gauguin.
