OneDrive — formerly known as SkyDrive — is cross-platform cloud storage offered by a well-known tech giant, Microsoft. Aside from regular features of allowing you to store and share any file type with it, OneDrive comes with additional features like built-in Office Online (which allows you to create or edit Office documents) and syncing of files stored in OneDrive across all your computers, smartphones, and tablets.
OneDrive originally offered everyone free 15 GB cloud storage. Unfortunately, Microsoft has now decided to decrease that to free 5 GB cloud storage for everyone. However, for a limited time, you have the ability to lock in your free 15 GB cloud storage before Microsoft decreases everyone down to 5 GB. Click the orange button above to learn how to lock in your free 15 GB cloud storage so that Microsoft doesn’t decrease you to 5 GB.

It’s not perfect but it does make things convenient when you can put things in the folder on your desktop and open them on your phone. no more music taking up valuable space just stream from your phone.

Take it easy there, Joseph.
Did you read the fine-print? I did. What is said was this: You accept that terms of the agreement that include revocation of all non-paid storage… at whim.
What that means for me is I am OK with using it for trivial stuff, but anything that has any need of permanence is at peril and may force rapid and unplanned action on my part… perhaps enrollment into a paid service.
So, for me, if I have OneDrive cloud storage, I need to have a similar amount of physical local storage that keeps up with my storage growth needs. As a result, this offer is just a web speed file transfer utility between platforms. Again, that is just me.
Now, what it should mean for most people is that their strategic plan for their growing collection of pictures, movies, documents, research data, thesis work, etc. has to include reviewing and deleting old stuff to facilitate a shuffle, reserving enough local storage to be able to get all the data safely stored or migrating from being a promotion paid-for client into a regular cash paying customer.
So, yes, it is a nice perk for trying some other MS services, but you would do well to remember that the size and terms of the perk has been changed a lot in the past year and if you expected a stable and static understanding of what you were getting, you should temper your glee and also tell your buds about the moving goal posts in the agreement.
everything is fine, working perfect
