Smart DNS Proxy has fast & secure DNS servers. You simply need to change your DNS IP address in your device to Smart DNS Proxy Ip addresses. So then all your DNS queries will go through our secure dns network.
We also have servers globally in any country to route you the proper traffic you request through our DNS. So even if you live in Europe and want to stream from USA Netflix site, our DNS routes your query to the proper US netflix servers and you are able to stream from Netflix properly. The same with any other site.
All Smart DNS Proxy servers are secured and encrypted. There is also no logs in our network so all your queries are anonymous.

Reviews for Smart DNS Proxy and SmartVPN
This software does NOT provide the same level of encryption as many VPN services – your ISP may be able to discover what you are browsing. It would be much easier to use a FREE product like DNS jumper to do the same thing as this software, with perhaps more security depending upon the DNS server selected
Very good service, although this website has led to misinformation quite a bit. THIS IS NOT A VPN! So if that’s what you’re looking for, look elsewhere.
This is a SmartDNS service – hence why it’s called Smart DNS Proxy. The purpose of this service is to provide faster access to blocked content such as Youtube, ABC, CBS, NBC, The CW, Fox, SlingTV, HBO, NowTV (UK), BBC (UK) and many MANY other services.
How this works is that all data is streamed directly from the provider as listed above, to your computer – with no middleman. All the service does is trick the provider into thinking you’re in the selected country by masking your real IP to only them (meaning for example, if you’re in the USA and are trying to access a channel in the UK, you won’t be prevented from accessing American services due to them thinking you’re not in America anymore). Furthermore, in the account, there are different groups of channels which can be set individually – meaning you can set one group to the USA and another to the UK simultaneously – you will never need to change region to use different apps (for example if you wanted to have access to NowTV and SlingTV simultaneously).
Alternatively, a VPN contains a middleman. All your data is streamed through a third party server and then redirected to your real computer. This makes VPN services slower, because you have to rely on the bandwidth of the server – and factor in everybody else who’s also using the server, slowing it down. In addition, with a VPN, you have to question, is the stuff you’re downloading really secure? The VPN company can collect information on everything that you do.
Every internet enabled device has an option to edit it’s DNS settings. All you have to do is change the device’s DNS settings to the DNS of the closest (or on some devices closest 2) countries to you, which can be found via the help pages. What’s better is, providing you have a Router that isn’t custom modded by your Cable/DSL provider (some do put their own firmware on the router to prevent you editing DNS settings), you can most likely enter these DNS addresses into the router itself, so you don’t have to configure every single device on the network. Any device which connects to said router would automatically have access to the chosen services.

Nonsense: I am using their VPN, via Holland and 2 in USofA!!! They slow you down, depending on the seriousness of the encryption but they work! Period!
SmartDNS does not slow you down at all and it opens what you need… ;)
Just use as needed and enjoy! :)
I’ve been using this regularly for the last 2 years and found it satisfactory.
It’s simple to setup, and allows a variety of ways to access services.
The service is not as quick as some VPN’s, with a 10-15% speed downgrade noticed.
It was more reliable in connecting to servers around Europe and the US than other products tried.
Users need to be aware that SmartDNS Proxy is just that – a proxy based on using their DNS servers.
That means that shifting regions means editing DNS server entries, which may not suit everyone.
And changes of IP address on the device tended to confuse SmartDNS Proxy sufficiently that a reboot was the easiest route.
For value for money, it’s hard to beat, especially if you’re wanting to access streaming services.
It is an awesome service worth getting. I just bought a 2-year-license and use it to watch Zattoo in Germany. Recommendation!
Support also is fast and reliable.
Hiding your IP is sometimes necessary, especially if you want to unlock some content or simply browse the web in relative anonymity. While the majority of the IP proxy service providers give you an app to install, I find this a bit tiresome since you have to remember switching on your VPN app before visiting specific websites or launching a given app. Smart DNS Proxy’s approach was something I fell in love with from the word go. Here is what I found out after trying it out for a while.
Pros
Ever On
The fact that you configure the settings to your native network card’s settings means that the DNS proxy will always be on at all times. You won’t be at risk of connecting to a specific service with the wrong DNS identity. This is especially convenient if you don’t need to keep swapping your DNS from one location to another.
Little Impact on Bandwidth
The next biggest problem with DNS and proxy providers is the impact they have on your connection speeds. A quick preview with HD streaming platforms gave me considerable results. The videos were viewable and I’d admit I didn’t get any annoying buffers.
Ookla Speed Test tool however showed a 5 to 10 percent performance drop when connected to some of the high demand servers. I hope that this won’t be a problem some time in future. (I will update the review on this after using it for a while longer)
Dynamic Configuration Options
This is my favorite. You can configure the same account to work on your PC, smart TV, Smartphone, tablet and most importantly on router level. This gives you a great degree of modularity meaning that you can even scale up to the extent of giving different networks under your control different location identities. (this might come in handy if you want to switch locations without editing the DNS settings)
Cons
Changing Locations is Tricky
Since you have to enter IP values to your network card’s IPV4 configurations to acquire a proxy, changing or hopping from another wouldn’t be as easy as it can be with a DNS provider who gives you a GUI interface. This will be a deal breaker to people looking to swap their IPs every now and then.
Verdict
Smart DNS Proxy is an amazing proxy tool that sits discrete on your system and always ensures that you are connected to the right network no matter what. Couple this with its almost acceptable network performance attenuation and you get a tool that will serve you well without being the very bottleneck in your network.
It didn’t work. I followed the instructions carefully. Websites were still able to identify who I was down to the very city I live in. I guess if you are really struggling for money, and have patience to contact support, you might to give this a try. What was so frustrating for me was all the work I had to do. Its not user friendly. If I made a mistake, then many others will to, maybe including you. Go ahead and thumbs down this review, its not solid. If you learned anything, its that the service is not user friendly. Its not a push button service at all.

It’s a smart DNS dude. Smart DNS means SMART! It detects when you’re trying to access a specific website and tells such website that you’re in whatever country your account is set up for.
This service actually works very well, for Hulu, Netflix, ABC, NBC, SlingTV, The CW, NowTV (UK) and many MANY other services – both on a box (Apple TV/Amazon TV/Chromecast) as well as on websites. Check their compatability list for more info.
Been trying it since yesterday but I think it needs improvement and more work. # Keeps losing the saved password # WhatsApp etc. voice calls are not supported where they are censored !! Inspite some Free or cheap & unkown apps support that !! It’s really Shamfull

SmartDNS Proxy is an ideal choice for any consumer who wants to access blocked websites, apps, games, and music. It works with any internet-enabled device, including gaming consoles and smart TVs to create a wonderful online experience.
User Interface
SmartDNS Proxy isn’t actually a VPN app, but a set a settings that you can enter on your router or browser to disguise your original location, making you appear online in your preferred location. The settings are easy to add on your router, TV, tablet, smartphone, computer, and smart TV, among other internet-enabled devices.
It only takes a minute to access the DNS settings page on your browser or router. If you are not comfortable with having to change DNS settings time and again, then you might want to consider a VPN app, something SmartDNS Proxy doesn’t have. Anyway, it’s easy to set it up so that shouldn’t give you problems.
Functionality
On signing up, I got a couple of DNS server addresses, 2 for each country. SmartDNS Proxy recommends that you choose a server that’s closer to your location, which is a bit trick for those who are far from the country they want their identity to appear in online.
Once set up, save the settings and then wait for a few seconds for the configuration to take place. If you still see a yellow mark on your internet connection icon, you might want to change the DNS servers. Once set up and the connection is okay, navigate to any of your preferred sites that is blocked in your country. Some of the popular websites that SmartDNS Proxy can help you access include; BBC iPlayer, Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, Oxygen, and SportsNet.
Easily change your proxy to SmartDNS Proxy and access channels and websites blocked in a specific country. You can also opt to route requests via SmartDNS Proxy to access websites and channels restricted in a given country.
The site has plenty of articles relating to common problems faced during DNS installation and has a couple of tutorials to guide you in your DNS installation in different devices. Their customer support is decent.
Pros
• Easy to set up
• Plenty of tutorials
• Promises that customer data is secure
• Access locked websites, games, and apps
• Can operate at router level or device level
• Works on almost any device
• Unlocks plenty of channels
Cons
• Some servers couldn’t connect at all
• No detailed information about devices opening specific channels
Conclusion
SmartDNS Proxy provides a convenient way to access websites, stream music, or watch TV online. If you are a student studying abroad, a traveler, or would just love to watch TV shows and stream content from another country, SmartDNS Proxy does a decent job to deliver all these.
