Style takes regular photos or videos and uses artificial intelligence to transform them into works of art. This differentiates it from a filter, as it intelligently recognizes features in the images that you feed it and creates output based upon mixing them with the style that you select.
Stylizing your media without losing detail. You can make regular media look amazing in seconds. You can creatively chain the models provided in order to produce unique works. Just use the output from the app as the input to the app and you can produce infinitely varied work. Some of the models present are useful to immediately create a work in one pass. Others are useful as an intermediary step between the original and creating a final work. Check the website for some examples.
Creating original content. For example the icon was created using the app itself. A plain template was made for the icon, then it was run through Style several times using different models, and it automatically created what you see above. Whether it’s being used as an aid to create graphic art, or to stylize your photos, videos, and selfies for social media, it’s bound to be entertaining and useful.

Reviews for Style for Windows and Mac
As my old PC has only 4GB of RAM, no Rolls-Royce aircraft engine, and can’t be exclusively assigned to this task for days, I had to quickly stop fantasizing on the video above, as I realized I wouldn’t make my own. I would be interested to know if others with more powerful devices have had more success. But if you are like me into image manipulation, just using Style on photos can justify giving it a try.
“Please be patient, this may take a long time”, warns the interface during the processing, which is an understatement, as it takes an eternity, even for just a picture, on my PC, and I can’t do anything in the meantime except meditating in the lotus position while staring at the screen, as Style claims the entirety of its resources. But I guess it is faster with better machines and although hard on my poor PC, it is extremely easy for me (nearly nothing to do).
The result can be so weird that it will go direct to my recycle bin, but can be stunning if I manage to match the right photo with the right filter, very different from what I get with regular filters of all kinds or with programs which make my photos look like they were paintings or sketches. That’s because these filters are not exactly filters strictly speaking, but an image in which elements are picked up and rearranged to reconstitute my picture. I can let them bring their own colors (= more fun) or take those of my original picture (= closer to it). Their video above gives you an idea, you can also follow my link at the end of this post.
Hints:
1/ Every time you want to try another filter after a first one on the same image, don’t forget to click the “back” button first if you don’t want the new filter to be applied OVER the previous one.
2/ If your PC finds the job too hard and freezes, try a smaller output size limit. My computer, with only 4GB of RAM, wouldn’t go beyond 1024×1024, the maximum authorized by Style being 1920×1920. This might seem very small if you want to print, but the sort of grid of contrasting squares which composes the created image could give a kind of interesting op’art aspect to a large print (although I haven’t tried).
3/ If you are not satisfied with the results on certain parts of the created image, do not try to redo it, it would look exactly the same, create another one with your original picture mirrored or rotated beforehand (you can’t do this in Style, I suggest they add it, as I am certainly not the only one to have had this idea), then mirror or rotate it back. The effect will be applied slightly differently on the second version. If you are a perfectionist, you can even load them both in an image editor supporting layers and combine them to create a composite with the best parts of each one, or blend them, or blend one with the original picture to mitigate the effect, or combine different parts or the same image processed with different filters etc.
4/ Take note that it works only for x64 machines.
And, so that you won’t complain here that this giveaway is nothing but a trial version which adds a watermark and wouldn’t let you save (yes, there is one such complaint already!):
5/ UNCHECK THE “SHOW WATERMARK” BOX IN THE SETTINGS (Why would anyone WANT to have a Style watermark anyhow?)
6/ Don’t look for “save” or “save as” after processing: just have a look in your image folder where your creation is already in a Style subfolder, unless you have decided in the settings that it must be elsewhere.

you can have a look at 12 animated GIFs showing some of my photos before/after a passage in Style. (Click a thumbnail to enlarge, then click again to animate.) All images but n° 05 created with box “Use your image colours” unchecked. The percentage indicated below is the opacity of the Style image pasted over the original photo in an image editor. When it is not indicated, the Style image has not been blended with the original. All photos except n° 11 and 12 are scans of analog photos.
01- Filter: Geometry;
02- Filter: Colorful world, first with 100% opacity, then with 50% opacity
03- Filter: Triangles, first with 100% opacity, then at various opacity levels depending on the areas + some doctoring on the kid’s face
04- Filter: Mandelbrot, first with 100% opacity, then with 60% opacity
05- Filter: Cubist. Image created from original photo and image created from mirrored photo blended 50/50 (for a more complex pattern) [photo colors, desaturated on the background].
06- Filter: Edtaonisl. Image created from original color photo and image created from B&W mirrored photo blended 50/50
07- Filter: Kandinsky
08- Filter: Candy
09- Filter: Kanagawa
10- Filter: Acrylic at various opacity levels depending on the areas
11- Filters: Colored pencil lines with 100% opacity for pavement and water [filter colors desaturated]; Psychedelic with 40% opacity for pigeons

where you can do similar effects online, and a lot of other stuff!
I like this program, I like what it does to transform pictures. I’ve had fun trying out the different styles available and how they impact different pictures. I have not yet tried combining styles by running the same picture through 2 or more styles one after another, I think that would open up new possibilities. I like that you can select an output size, so you can preview a smaller output in a few seconds and then give the program a minute to render your masterpiece at a higher resolution. My wishlist is small: would like to tweak the intensity or resolution of some of the styles, would like save pics I like with a “save” button, instead of it saving everything I try so there’s less to clean up later, and it would be very cool to blend different styles (one style in the center or a selected area, and another style everywhere else, or start with one style in a corner and transition to another style in the opposite corner, or all 4 corners…..) I’d like to be able to add more styles or create my own by loading a picture with the style I want, it has a limited number.
Runs well on my PC, hasn’t crashed yet and I find the rendering time is acceptable for the results you get. I’m running Win 10/64 with 16 gb memory, core i7. Don’t know if program uses hardware acceleration but I have an Nvidia Gtx 750 Ti if that makes a difference. Well worth trying!
I tried this current version, v2.2.0.4, and found it worked pretty well, at least for 512x512px output. I’m running a Win 10 x64 HP on a laptop w/i7 quad core, 16GB and 2TB SSD. No real complaints, since it did not bind up the OS or poach significant resources. Made nearly 30 interesting variants of a portrait, some with multiple passes. Only takes about a minute for the processing of each image to complete. Keeper for me…
Style is a unique image processor for Windows that uses artificial intelligence to transform your photos and videos into works of art. To give photos and videos a great artistic look predefined styles and models are used.
Overview
The installer download size is pretty large (~284MB), but the installation process is simple and takes only a few minutes. After launching it, all you need to do is load the file you want to process, select the model you want to apply, and the application does what it’s supposed to do.
Pros
Modern & Clean UI
The UI of the application is clean and easy to understand. The right-side lists all the preset styles with their preview images, under it is a drop-down menu to select the size of the output photo. If you want the style to be applied using the original colors of the photo, you can tick the ‘Use your Image colors’ box. There is an area covering the most of the UI, this is where the image or video to be loaded is to be dropped. On top are ‘Load’ and ‘Settings’ buttons, the ‘Load’ button opens up the File Explorer to select image or video to load, whereas the ‘Settings’ button opens the settings window.
Preset Styles & Models
There are many preset styles in this tool, namely Acrylic, ASCII Empty and ASCII Full, Ballpoint, Candy, Colored Pencil Lines, Dot Drawing, Edtaonisl, Finger Painting, Geometry, Kanagawa, Kandinsky, Retrofuture, StarryNight, and many more. There are over 20 presets in total and new ones are being added on weekly basis.
Easy 3 step process
To create artistic work with this application you need to go through only 3 easy steps, just drag and drop the image or video file or load it via dedicated button. The utility will generate a thumbnail for the content, and you can then choose the model you want to apply. After this you just need to click the ‘Process’ button and the application does it job.
Cons
Crashes & Lags the system
The application gets stuck a lot, I had to force close it many times because it stopped responding. Moreover, it lags the system a lot while the application is processing the image. On a PC with an i5 processor, 12GB RAM, and 2GB dedicated graphic memory, it made the PC hang completely when I tried to process an image to highest resolution i.e 1920px x 1920px. I had to force shut down the PC, nothing else worked.
Uses a lot of system resources
When processing an image, it uses a lot of system resources compared to any other tools out there. Task manager showed it was using about 50% CPU and 7000 – 8000MB of the memory which is a lot and is probably the reason it made my PC hang completely.
No customization options
The application does not allow any customization option neither for the processing models nor for adjusting the applications basic settings. All the images processed are saved as PNG files, you do not have the choice to change the format. Although, you can change the directory for temporary files and also the output location. If you have the licensed version you have the option to turn off the watermarks.
Conclusion
Style is a simple application that allows you to transform any image or video into art pieces by applying some of the built-in models and styles. The entire procedure is as simple as possible, and you do not have to deal with any configurations. The application for Windows needs a lot more work to be stable and the developer should also take note off the high-resource usage by the application while processing the image.

Thanks for pointing out the resource usage. My system is far less powerful than the one you described, so I can see that there no point in me trying this interesting-sounding program.
Converting photos into art is a growing sensation. Any tool that will give you a digital replica of a cool photo you took whilst saving you the pain of having to pay someone to paint is always welcome. This is what Style for Windows is all about.
At a Glance
To get Style for Windows started, you have to drag and drop the image onto the application, choose a style from the three available and decide if you want to use image colors. You will also have the freedom to choose the output resolution before hitting the process button.
Pros
Simple Set Up
I found the straightforward launch and use approach extremely lovable. There’s practically no learning curve. It is just load and click process to get your result. You might have to go through a couple of test runs before getting the final result that is perfect for your image but that is still acceptable.
Cons
It all ends there. I had quite the trouble when trying to get the application working. While the developer gives a warning on the fact that it might take long to process the image, the fact that the application made my PC hang on three occasion is really a bad thing.
I am running a Core i5 3.2GHz PC with 16GB RAM. I think any decent software should at least make my PC lag but not make it hang completely.
I didn’t even get to see the end result of the product despite trying out even the smallest of the images.
Verdict
It would have been amazing if I could get it to work somehow. I can’t simply figure out why it keeps on hanging and foiling everything whenever the progress meter gets to around 60% I can’t really recommend it unless the developer finds a way to let Style for Windows share resources with other processes efficiently

Certainly not to dispute your review as I find them extremely useful as I read each of them for any apps I am considering, but if I may, I’d like to suggest you run some tests on your system or inquire if you had any other applications running at the time of your test of the application.
I ask because I have just installed and tested the app on my Win 10 Pro (1607), Intel Core i7 2.70 GHz processor with 16.0 GB RAM as well and images have taken only about 10-15 seconds to process at 1920px X1920px.
Additionally, I wonder if there has been an update since you’ve installed as I have many more than 3 styles available. I have 29 styles available in mine if I counted correctly.
Maybe it’s the difference in processors, but given the difference in the amount of styles available, may I suggest that you attempt a full uninstall with removing all traces via a third party app such as Revo or Iobit Uninstaller and then re-install? Maybe I just got extremely lucky. I don’t know, but I just had to write to attempt to assist as I noticed the difference in the number of styles available so I have to believe there was something corrupted during your installation process.
I have the same problems as Melvyn. I am running windows 7 64 Pro with Intel i7 2.8GHz but only 8GB of RAM. No other programmes running but Style still runs EXTREMELY SLOWLY – the ‘CANCEL’ button is INOPERATIVE because computer completely unresponsive to any other actions. It even took about 5 minutes for Windows Task Manager to appear, but even when it did, I still could not abort the programme. In spite of all my efforts to stop the programme, I resisted the temptation to do a hard reboot and let it run – FOR FORTY MINUTES! – and finally got a result. I don’t think this is a processor problem as both Daryn and myself run i7s, and probably not a RAM issue as both Melvyn and Daryn have 16GB. The developer recommends Windows 10! Could this be the problem? I am running 7 Pro, but I am not sure about Melvyn. This a huge pity as I thought the result I did finally get suggested that this was potentially a fantastic programme, but it must be much better behaved to become usable.
Same problem here, it does nothing.
Unfortunately this is an art package of no value! It boasts of 30 presets but dosnt tell you that there is no control over them at all. It basically applies a filter without allowing you to tweak it to your taste. There is no descriptions with the filters so its a game of trial and error, unfortunately like others this app caused my machine to hang and hang and hang so I have neither the time or patience to try each of the filters. There is much better free software about like GIMP 2.
