Uw traject gegevens zijn alleen beschikbaar op uw device. Het delen op social media is een optie die u zelf kiest en uitvoert. YAGA is een solitaire Android applicatie en verzamelt geen gebruiker- of privé gegevens. Na het installeren kan YAGA zonder internet verbinding werken. Alleen het gebruik van Google Maps is dan niet mogelijk.
YAGA gebruikt een interne database om de posities op te slaan en werkt dus echt zonder netwerk verbinding. Tijdens het gebruik wordt uw locatie, afhankelijk van uw snelheid, opgeslagen. Het maakt voor YAGA daarom niet uit of u wandelt, fietst of met een auto bent. Dit wordt automatisch ingesteld. De nauwkeurigheid van de GPS gegevens worden door uw device berekend. YAGA slaat deze gegevens alleen op en berekend met vaste waarden de snelheid en afstand.
Na een afgelegd traject word de route berekend en kan, indien er internet verbinding is, met Google Maps worden weergegeven. Met Google Maps heeft u de mogelijkheid om op uw route in te zoomen en te kiezen voor de Maps of Satelliet achtergrond. Via de markers die verborgen of zichtbaar gemaakt kunnen worden, worden de gegevens van elk vastgelegd punt kan worden opgevraagd.
Een grafiek optie geeft de snelheid en de hoogte van het traject grafisch weer. Door twee trajecten te vergelijken kan bij een gelijk traject de overeenkomsten of verschillen bekeken worden. Dit is ideaal als u wilt verbeteren op een vast trainings-traject. Het is zelfs mogelijk om de gegevens van één van de twee trajecten om te draaien zodat een traject van start naar eind en terug een gelijk resultaat geven.
