[@conceptualclarity] [@conceptualclarity] Your comment is a little creepy to me!

    I’ll try to INPAINT it:

After the invention of photography many photographers experimented with it. That included the manipulation of the images with the purpose of creating an illusion.
Who was the first? I can’t tell you that. Neither the gender, the national origin nor the political affiliation.
Google it and you’ll find American photographers doctoring pictures before the foundation of the Soviet Union.

►My comment looks better than yours!… This is what INPAINT does to images. Turns them into something better.◄

(BTW. I don’t claim my comment its perfect)

    Enjoy the day!

Okay, downloaded, extracted, ran install, it filled in program name as ver 55, this is supposed to be ver 56 so I changed install to 56. Installed, ran Activate, looked serial number. It’s Blank. what now? There;s no reg key to recv in my email. The activate is supposed to do it. The version was wrong.

Hey INPAINT, I have a simple idea. Letpeople install it, send you their email address, you supply a serial number for whatever time period you want to make it free. If it’s afterwards, send a message back, Sorry you missed it.

simple for Ashraf, simple for SOS, simple for user, simple for eliminating the ill will you are creating for your product…. oh and please do not be too lazy to change your version number in the software. It SHOULD be just a variable to set, character or numerical, at compile time if I remember writing code and compiling back in the 1990′s.

    Just keep it simple.

[@conceptualclarity] Now, that is really funny. Either your last name is McCarthy and you need to ask Ashraf for a tinfoil hat -or- you have a great sense of humor. :-)

Doctoring photos is something that the Soviet Communists pioneered. Seems like a creepy kind of software to me.

it’s a great program but since there is no registration number supplied, you have to do a work around to save your results. is there a number to enter?

Thanks! Great program… easy install and easy to use. I’ll have to practice a bit more to be able to get the same quality of results I do with Photoshop, but this program is great so far!

[@David] Try this. Uninstall Inpaint. Run CCleaner’s registry cleaner (be sure to backup beforehand). Restart your computer. Install Inpaint (be sure to run as admin). That should work.

    [@ripmak] Is that the key?

    [@trust] Thanks for the tip!

[@Suze] Yep this is v5.6, my mistake I forgot to update that part of the post.

[@Suze] You are right, Suze, it is Version 5.6. I made a mistake by suggesting renaming folders to 5.5 instead of the correct, new version 5.6. Thanks. :-)

Very nice, easy to use software.

This version offers some welcome improvements over v4.7, which I had installed a while back. It was necessary to uninstall the old version for the new to gain registration. At first, being lazy, I tried to install this version over my old version, but it would not register. I had uninstall, restart, re-install; now all is well.

    Thanks Ashraf & Teorex!

    I believe this is version 5.6 (5.5 was given away on October 3, 2013) . . .

This is a nice, little application that is constantly being improved and has great customer support.
You CAN keep older, installed versions. While installing a newer version, just create a new folder in Program Files or Program Files (86), depending on your version of Windows 64bit or 32bit; name it “InPaint 5.5″ and proceed with installation. Ẅhen asked to create Start Menu shortcuts, rename the suggested folder to “5.5″ and finish installation. Now, both older and new versions will work and remain activated.

A reasonable guess, Ashraf. Indeed, I did download Inpaint in the past from a previous giveaway, and I was very pleased with it and with the results it gave. I avoided updates because I believed the warning that updates might make the program not work. However, I didn’t expect that to happen with a new giveaway. Apparently I was mistaken. I don’t get a trial/register screen, but when I try to save a picture, I get a window with “This feature is available in registered version only. Buy it now?”, with three options: Yes, No, and Enter the Serial Key – which I don’t have. Sigh… The earlier registration did not carry over. I really did like Inpaint (true, but not enough to pay for it), and apparently my eagerness to get an update was my undoing. Let my case be an object lesson to all members, that when we are told an attempt to update may make the program stop working, that is true!

    [@The Punisher] Welcome!

[@David] The software is probably already registered for you, if you don’t get a trial/register screen. Try saving an image — if you can save it, then the program is registered. If you can’t save, then it is still a trial.

My guess is you downloaded Inpaint in the past from a previous giveaway and that registration has now been accepted by the updated version.

Hi! I had the same problem as Lobo – the window shows serial key is empty, and I don’t see where we were provided a serial key to enter. I uninstalled, restarted my computer, downloaded the link again, installed, activated, and still no luck! Any suggestions?

Following your advice I tried to save a picture and I could not do it.
►I removed the Inpaint software from my pc. Restarted the computer. Downloaded the file again and installed Inpaint once again this time with a HAPPY ENDING.◄
    Thanks!

    IDEA / SUGGESTION:

Please write a tutorial on how to install software and save the old version of the same program (untouched & usable).

Sometimes I feel that the previous version was better or had a better UI than the new one, or simply want to keep the old version and score a new version while I get more familiar with the new version.

Companies like ASHAMPOO do a very good job. When I update their products the older version is untouched.
INPAINT replaced V4.7 with the new version. Without asking (keep / remove). WINX DVD PLATINUM did the same thing after I upgraded from an older version last week.

    Thanks and get well soon!

Inpaint installed and registered fine on my Win7-64. Nice software. It’s pretty easy to use and does what it says. I think I’ll need some practice to remove people from a photo, but I’ve already removed a mailbox from one and a small tree from another and they came out looking pretty good. I’m glad I downloaded and installed it. Thanks SoS.

[@Lobo] Try saving an image. If you can save an image, then it is registered. If you are not registered, then it won’t let you save images.

The window that shows the SERIAL KEY is empty…..
