    Toby,

I appreciate the follow up response/reference to the Blu-ray Copy I originally presented, and mentioned a few times throughout the comments. I’ll be looking for a response to the questions, thanks for your legwork and the timeframe for a potential upcoming event…

    Regards,

    MS

    Hi Toby,

No worries about the late reply. Thanks getting backing on here and replying. Good work.

One of my questions wasn’t answered – I’m sure it wasn’t on purpose. “LoadingScreen.exe” gets installed with Leawo Blu-Ray Ripper and this requires inbound firewall access. I cannot understand why a disc ripper/copier would need inbound firewall access. An explanation would be appreciated.

Thank you for the deal and the freebie with Leawo Blu-Ray Ripper – Some feedback for you: This application still needs a lot of work. It appears that it does not have the ability to read play lists (.mpls files), therefore for some Blu-Ray discs, you need to half guess which titles are required for a specific playlist and then merge them before ripping – This is a tedious and time consuming process. This application works fine if you’re just interested in ripping parts of the movie only/or sound tracks, etc. Ripping DVD and perhaps older BR discs would be easier. But ripping the correct playlist for the majority of recent BR discs can be a challenge that also needs a little bit of luck to get it right.

I have not tested Blu-Ray copy – However, if a deal was provided, I’d need to run some tests first before deciding on whether to buy a license (Therefore, please consider allowing the deal to run a few days and perhaps offer a non-upgradable freebie license as well to allow for prior testing. Some deals that run only for 24 hours don’t give you enough of a chance to run testing). Having said that, BR Copy should not have the same type of limitations of BR Ripper, since it would just copy the entire disc.

    Thank You

    Hello guys,

Sorry for my late reply. Usually the deals we presented here are with lifetime license and major updates unless we make a special note that it is just a 1-year license and with minor or without updates.

Regarding the Blu-ray Copy you want, i will talk to Admin Ashraf and will just update you soon.

BTW, we will have another freebie and deal to launch in about 2 weeks, so keep an eye here. Thank you all and have a great day!

I’m obviously dyslexic tonight – Typing mistake in third paragraph/first sentence – I meant to write – “I did run a test on Leawo Blu-Ray Ripper (the free giveaway version – 4.3.0.0)”.

    Cheers,

As mentioned, Blu-Ray Copy would have been better. I prefer to use various different freeware based converters.

Serious Question – I’m hoping Toby from Leawo can provide an explanation, as he did so promptly above for a previous query.

I did run a test on Leawo Blu-Ray copy (the free giveaway version – 4.3.0.0). There was one thing that really threw me off. After installation, I noticed that it wanted “inbound” firewall access – “LoadingScreen.exe” in particular was requesting inbound firewall access. What is it with that?

I can understand why the app itself “Blu-ray Ripper.exe” would want “outbound” firewall access (ie, to check automatically for updates and possibly for downloading decryption keys when loading a disc), but I cannot fathom to understand why “LoadingScreen.exe” requires “inbound” firewall access? I’ve tested various DVD and Blu-Ray Copiers/Rippers previously and I’ve never experienced any of them to require inbound firewall access. This did not sit well with me – there’s no reason that I can understand why a Blu-Ray Ripper would need to act as a server or Peer-to-Peer application. Perhaps there is a valid reason?

Toby – Can you provide an explanation please?

    Thank You,

    Toby,

This may not be the appropriate place to inquire, but I am going to regardless. I almost purchased this license, then I realized it is not Blur-ray ripping software, rather ripping to other formats, as it states, an I have through previous giveaways, but the lifetime license, that’s a sweet price if I may say… That leads me to the two questions I’d could use some guidance on… If you don’t mind~

    1. ‘Blu-ray copy’ seems to be the software I need…. are you able to reveal if there are any lifetime ‘Blu-ray copy’ software deals in the near future?

    2. As you probably know Blu-ray 3d disks are often 50Gig DL disks. The only software I know that can retain the original 3D and compress the movie down to a BD-R 25gb, (in reality just under 23gb) is the 3d Blu-ray software by DVDFab; though, I believe they recently changed the name of the software to something more universal. As a result of some licensing issues a few years back, I prefer to avoid buisness with them – no disrespect is intended. Do you by some crazy chance happen to know if Leawo is working on anything that can do the same thing, i.e., Blur-ray 3D (50gb) ripped and compressed to Blu-ray 3D (25gb) .iso for storing or future burning? Any insight would be welcome, appreciated, and if you answer this, I do appreciate your time.

Last… If anyone out there in internet land knows how I can do this, please toss me some guidance, a link, etc. I buy a lot of blu-rays, and my OCD demands mint near mint condition, thus backups are my preferred method.

    Regards~

    Highest regards~

    Hmm……Lifetime updates ???

Are we sure? Maybe this is another case of a lifetime license for minor updates only, but maybe extra payment is required for major upgrades.

    Blu-Ray Copy would be better.
