I tried another brand of pdf creator on the same non-Latin (DBCS/Unicode) web page and it works perfect. Therefore what I mentioned previously is definitely your software “bug”, or “defect” if you don’t like the word “bug”…… The main point is NOT the “layout” BUT “the contents can be copied properly” .

[@KK] Hi KK–To address each of your issues: 1. While we admit that Sonic isn’t completely free from errors, browsers are typically known for producing bad layout while printing web pages. So there is a chance that the printing application that composes the layout might actually have more to do with it than the Sonic printer driver or post printing processor itself. 2. As to the dialog appearance, we made a note of your comments and will be looking into making adjustments and improvements for our next update. Thanks for your input! If you have further questions for us or Sonic, please email us at

    1. Poor layout after “printing” the pdf. Cannot select the right text properly for copy. It happens on non-English web pages.
    2. The custom “Create Adobe PDF file as” dialog is suck! Always go back to “My Document”…… and also no directory tree for easy selection for saving path………

    Uninstalled it finally. WTF…….

[@PDFer] Sorry to hear that. Would you be able to send those PDFs over to our tech team for a look? You can get in touch with them at If we have the files, we can try and figure out what went wrong there. Thanks for giving Sonic a try, PDFer!

Good eye! Yes, Ashraf did mention that. However, we issued fixes for the 3 bugs he mentioned as the cause for his disappointment. To answer your question, many things have changed to make Sonic better. Though we can’t document every single one here, it was with constant feedback like Ashraf’s and input from our other users that we were able to improve Sonic since that review.

ASRAF’s review in March 2012 said “I was extremely disappointed in Sonic PDF Creator.” and “I definitely won’t be recommending Sonic PDF Creator to anyone.” Has something changed to make it better?

Downloaded, installed, opened a few PDFs; one very image heavy (cookbook) and most of the images were nothing more than black boxes. Too bad really.
