This is the stupidest site I’ve seen!!. After I log in it asks me to verify e-mail,password ,country and system info, then proceeds to tell me my session is expired! You people couldn’t run a two pump gas station let alone a web site.Come back when you learn how!

Beware of incremental backups. If one is bad, all succeeding ones will be bad. It happened to me.

Nevermind. It’s the first feature mentioned in the description. I asked because from the comments I was unsure of system backup. Sorry for the dumb.

    Ashraf,
I successfully activated this but have not yet tried it. Before I do, do you happen to know if this will backup the system as well as data? And, am I correct in believing that it will not backup to a new HD?

    Thanks for sharing your experience.

I’m having the same problem as Dee; clicking the “Register for Free” button just opens
    https://www.ocster.com/go/fullreg?pid=sez1cb&ver=1.13&edt=8099&loc=en-gb&rel=final&sloc=en-us&os=windows&osver=5.1.3&bit=32&cur=USD
which redirects to https://www.ocster.com/en which is *not* a registration
page (nor even the correct company).

    Reinstalling doesn’t fix it.

Could someone please post the correct URL for the registration page?

Finally success. I don’t know what went awry the first time, but after uninstalling and reinstalling the same downloaded file, I got an activation screen that worked. Now to put it to the test.

[@Dee] I’m not exactly sure what you are doing wrong, but what should be happening is you see a “License Activation” screen where you enter your email address and click the register button. Then you check your email for a confirmation link that you must click on and, once clicked, go back to the program and click the remaining button and the program is activated.

I automatically get the activation screen. When I click its “Register for Free” button, it tells me that it has opened a registration form in my browser and to enter the code after I get it. But, as I noted before, what it opens in my browser is not a registration screen, but the ocster, com main page with no clue as to how to get to a registration screen.

[@hoangtinh] What do you mean you can’t activate it? You need to provide more detail.

    [@John-44] Thanks :-)

[@Dee] You should see a “License Activation” screen as soon as you install and open the program. Don’t click on the little popup in the bottom right corner.

How do I activate this? When I clcik “register for free,” it tells me to complete the form it has opened in my browaer. But it did’nt take me to a form or even to to supereasy.net, where I am registered, but to an ocster.com page offering 3 versions of Ocster backup software, with no form or “register” button in sight.

[@sys-eng] Try looking for reviews on Ocster 1-Click Backup; this is a licensed version of Ocster. And, yes, I personally agree — the ability to restore to dissimilar hardware is an absolute necessary for shareware backup software.

Could not find a review of this anywhere so will have to pass for now. Really needs ability to restore to different hardware to be competitive.

    Reply to this comment#1

May I suggest that you CHANGE THE SUBJECT of your email to include the name of the GIVEAWAY TO DOWNLOAD, because if I need to refer to it a few days later, I have to open a few of your emails to get to the 1 I want. I`m sure lots of people would appreciate that too. (& your site is GREAT! Keep Rocking..)
