Kaspersky is owned by a former Russian intelligence agent with close ties to the Putin government. The U.S.government banned their products from all U.S. government computers as well as those owned by government employees. Do you really want to put your computer’s security in the hands of the Russian government? Sometimes free isnt worth it. Shareware on Sale should think twice before promoting suspect software. It makes me question all their offerings and whether they get the software they offer at all.

Without getting into the general believability of the U.S. government (which got egg on its face when one of its NSA people took some NSA-created malware home and his home Kaspersky installation detected it and sent it to Kaspersky for analysis, just as it was supposed to do – see https://www.tomsguide.com/us/is-kaspersky-safe,news-25983.html ), I’ll just observe that Kaspersky is about the best anti-malware product in the world (Avira used to be comparable but has more recently lost its way a bit and a couple of other very good products have at least minor drawbacks IMO) and would be my first choice were I not reasonably content with Windows Defender (which seems to be fairly light on resource use these days) as supplemented by Malwarebytes free (beta) versions of its anti-exploit and anti-ransomware products and various browser blocking extensions (plus robust ‘hosts’ file contents).

So unless you’re really concerned about getting spied upon by the Russians, I’ll suggest that it’s an excellent choice – especially the free version which uses the same excellent detection engine as the paid version.

Does this program work in conjunction with other protection programs?
Or is it a major protection program?
Do other protection programs need to be deleted?
    Please answer fast and accurate
    Thank you so much

How different is this version at Shareware compared to the same free product in Kaspersky site?

@ Don: I think the same abundance of caution that applies to the US government is not necessary for the typical private user.

I believe Kaspersky offers a freeware Security Cloud and a paid Security Cloud version. We are getting a giveaway of the latter, are we not? Although if this s a giveaway of the paid version, these conditions are pretty hard to believe:

<This is a 1-computer lifetime, for commercial or noncommercial use
    You get free upgrades
    You get free tech support>
