Glary Utilities is one of the few software tools I have paid and used reliably for years. It has proven trustworthy and stable, and the updates are easy to apply. I started with a free demo version, like today’s Giveaway, and then purchased a whole-family permanent license.
So what happens after a year? Does the program stop working? Or just no more free updates? I have installed Glary in the past. Good program.

I think it will become the free version, given that you didn’t give them your confidential data: there’s an automatic renewal when you purchase the software.

Been using Glary for years – yes some tools are available elsewhere, or even with windows, but Glary is always fatser and better.

I suggest you to download the portable package directly from glarysoft download web page (yes, it is already portabilized and available for download).
Thank you xilolee, but I could not download from the link on the glarysoft web page, my anti-virus would not let me. I did find it at Cnet and downloaded it from there but had the same result.
This is where the install halts and just sits there:
Execute “e:\Program Files\Glary Utilities 5\StartupManager.exe” -install
Maybe someone should report this to Glary Utilities themselves. I will look for a link to do so.At this rate, I am going to dump Glary Utitilies 5 and continue to use the old version 4.
