Ciò è possibile partendo dalle diverse unità di misura sia della renina (plasma renin activity, PRA, o concentrazione della renina attiva, DRC) che della concentrazione plasmatica dell'aldosterone (PAC), fornite dai diversi laboratori. Inserendo anche i valori di potassiemia la app fornisce anche una stima della probabilità individuale del paziente di avere la forma chirurgicamente guaribile di iperaldosteronismo primario, l'aldosteronoma.
