SafeText is a mobile phone application developed to help parents monitor inappropriate communications on their child's mobile phone.

SafeText allows parents to take appropriate action without "spying" on every text message their child receives. The applications can be setup in 3 simple steps:

1. Install SafeText on your Child's mobile phone.
2. Enter Parents mobile number where alerts should be sent
3. Select High, Medium or Low alert sensitivity and Click save

Once installed and setup on the child's phone, SafeText will notify a parent or guardian whenever an inappropriate SMS text message is sent to the child. The notification is sent via text message to the parent's phone and includes the flagged words or phrases as well as the mobile number of the phone which sent the flagged message.

Note:
SafeText should be downloaded and installed on the phone belonging to the child or minor who is to be monitored. No software is required on the parent's phone, only the ability to receive SMS text message alerts.

SafeText will run as a service in the background monitoring all incoming text messages for inappropriate language. SafeText will also send weekly updates to let the parent know that the phone is still being monitored. This allows to the parent to take action if the child tries to remove or disable the application.

SafeText uses an evolving dictionary of word and phrase filters which are periodically updated. Check back regularly for updates to the application.
