Build Your Alef Bet is designed with a child’s hands in mind! Each letter is “built” by moving line segments into a basic 2x2 grid. Choose the right length, move the line into the grid with your finger, and rotate it into place. It’s that simple!

Making the letters themselves allows children to explore the shapes of the Hebrew alphabet. Snapping line segments into a grid helps kids understand the proportions of each letter (for example, letters like lamed or feh sofit that extend above or below “the line”, and letters that are extra wide or extra narrow).

Built-in features include:

-select some or all letters
-optional help that displays each letter and calls out its name while the child works
-use one or two fingers to rotate line segments
