2 suggestions:
Make it display regardless of magnification ( I have fonts at 125% and the program info doesn’t fit in it’ own buttons ).
Extract text only opens JPegs, not PDFs, so I’d have to
— use another program to export all pages as JPGs,
— then use this to convert EACH file to text,
— then use another program to re-assemble the text into a text-version of the original scanned document.
For $5, I don’t expect much, and it might be a good start on a programming exercise to create something more sophisticated, but, if I need another program to accomplish my goal, I’ll just use that other program altogether.
By the way, Adobe Acrobat Pro v8 is available FROM ADOBE free, folks, search for it — it has OCR, page straightening, background removal, file size shrinking, and tons of other features and benefits … new entries have a tough row to hoe to compete, especially for the price: free.
