Oddly, when I first installed AlfaReader, it installed an icon on the desktop with double blue arrows in the upper right hand corner. Trying to open it, all I got was a faint boarder outline of a 4 inch square, which disappeared after a couple of minutes. After googling it, I found out it was a compressed file. But not before trying to uninstall and reinstall it. After reinstalling it. It comes up with a dialog box with AlfaReader in the header stating “This advertised application will not be installed because it might be unsafe. Contact you administrator to change the installation user interface option of the package to basic.” Any suggestions?
Thank you for the service you provide with the opportunities to download and try out the software offerings.

Not bad for free. Easy to use.

Do wish there was at least a way to organize by topic, collection though.

I loaded a PDF it sure didn’t like though, and crashed the program.

    Over all very nice! :)

This software seems like a limited version of the free and open source calibre software. The developer website does not even offer AlfaReader directly, only as an “add-on” which is exactly how calibre offers its own ebook reader.
