Bruce FraserGuestThis is not the Pro version.
Once installed, it says it’s “Free promo version for SharewareonSale.” What does that mean? Is it any different from the normal Free version?S BGuestNo matter how enticing it looks this is a 30-Day Trial Version Promotional Offer for SharewareOnSale after which this automatically becomes a free version with extremely limited functionality of three threads only. My personal experience is that a FREE Alternative namely Eagleget Downloader performs much better that this product without any hassles.
RAHARIJAONAGuestI have just installed Ant¨Download Manager, and tried it. It works well compared to many that I have already tried. I just like it.
Big thanks for SharewareonSaleLoSameGuestSo this is nothing more than a mere bait and switch where the program isn’t what is advertised.
An explanation would be nice. A better option would be to not mislead people. Whether the program is free or not, it’s sites like this which should be taken down and reprimanded.
Be legit or be gone. It’s such a shame.
Francis GilbertGuestBe very careful of EagleGet. It could be fine software (I haven’t tried it yet), but it has a PUP that will install ByteFence and Chromuim, along with Yahoo as the default search engine, unless you attend carefully to the fine print. There are a couple of links on the intro screen that you can click to avoid those options, but you have to click on them to even get that opportunity to decline by unchecking install boxes.
GeorgeGuestSo, does this offer correspond to what is described (“$22.50 off”, the cost of the lifetime license Pro version) or is it a scam? It’s a simple question and some of the reports here are worrying.
CJ CotterGuest@Francis Gilbert, thanks for the warning about EagleGet. I do intend to try it out, anyway. I’m currently using DAP. I like the program, but the installer is laced with all kinds of nasties. Before I installed it, I switched-on all of my antivirus, anti-malware, anti-spyware programs. Eventually, one program or the other will catch and quarantine all of the crap. I’ll do the same for EagleGet.
AshrafKeymaster[@Bruce Fraser] The “Free promo version for SharewareonSale” is the Pro version, except with the limitation of no free upgrades. You should get all Pro features.
[@S B] This is not a 30 day trial.
[@LoSame] Sorry but we don’t bait and switch.
[@George] This is the $22.50 Pro version.
GODGuestAshraf just spanked all your asses at once like President Trump
B ZGuestEagleGet is fine with no PUP and extremely effective and quick. I use it more than 2 years and reinstall it with every new version with no problems (virus, pup etc).
AntDownloader seems also good with some additional features (debrid Links). I will keep them both because some of them might work in sites that the other might not :)B ZGuest[@B Z]
To be correct ( i recheck it now), EagleGet installation offers to install some occasional PUP that you can easily decline with no later problems. Also custom install option is easy to use.
SammyGuestThanks for the team sharewareonsale
