I downloaded the program using the supplied link and when I tried to register the program I got and error message saying my key was for Taskthing pro and I was running the regular version. I directed me to a download page where I downloaded and installed the pro version. Trying to register that gave me another error saying I again had the wrong key and should use another version. Trying one more time with the regular version I got the error again saying I had the key for the pro version. I give up. It looks like a good program but the fact that they didn’t test this stuff out better makes my wonder about the code.
this happen to me last time also I didn’t get then eather
WHATS UPRobert LloydGuest[@olda] Thank you. It would help if I would learn to read. I was using the wrong registration name.

MaschiGuestHello team SOS,
thanks for this very usefull offer!
The installation as well as the activation posed no problems.
The program works perfectly.Nice weekend:-)
CuriousGuestWindows Defender says it tries to install a “WORM” virus upon once it gets started.
Check out the WEB OF TRUST LATEST REVIEWS.
I installed this a few weeks ago and my computer was being used in front of my eyes by someone else.
It MAY contain a backdoor virus……..
ASHRAF, You apparently just wanna get paid rather than check your sources..
bobjbklnGuestThis is a great program. I’ve been using it since 2012, so I was thrilled to get a free upgraded version from SOS.
BUT when I downloaded it, my anti-virus (Microsoft Security Essentials- MSE) declared it CONTAINED a virus and automatically deleted it. I disabled MSE and re-downloaded the Anvir Task Manager again and installed it. This replaced my previous AVTM. But when I turned MSE back on and ran the program, it registered as a virus and deleted it.
So I now have lost my older version of AVTM and can’t install and use the current one.
HELP
bobjbklnGuestFollow-up. MSE (on Win7 64 bit) said that it contained a worm:Win32/Boychi.A, but almost all of the 56 engines employed by VirusTotal gave it a clean bill of health, and as I said I have been using an earlier version for 4 years now, so I finally concluded that this was a false positive and told MSE to allow the installation. So far so good. Hope anvir and MS can get their acts together to avoid this false positive (if it is one).
valentineGuestReally cool program!

HELPSame for me and uninstalled. Mentioned this in the contact routine by the developer. Will see if they respond. If Defender caught it, it must be really bad ;)
SuzeGuestI have used AnVir Task Manager since 2008, when it was at version 5, and have always taken advantage of installing newer versions offered through various sites (including dotTech).
FYI — starting with v7.0.4, the options “Permanently block undesired processes” and “Save changed priority of processes” are no longer included in this Standard version; they are only in the Pro version.
If these two options are important to you, you may want to reconsider whether you want to replace your older version (through v6.7) with this one.
consuellaGuestWhat’s even more disturbing is the fact that its own tool called “Open Hardware Monitor” is considered to pose 32% security risk.
This led me to uninstall Anvir Task Manager.
If you too decide to uninstall this program, make sure to manually edit registry because Anvir’s own uninstaller doesn’t do a clean job, not even Revo uninstaller-in advanced mode-could find all the remnants.I would like to thank all those posters, who mentioned some important security concerns about this software, for sharing their findings.
consuellaGuestmy previous post was meant to be a reply to the comment by poster “curious”
SaulGuestTried twice to install, but application wouldn’t open. Seems to have installed 64-bit version on my 32-bit PC. Considering all the other comments, I have uninstalled it.
