    AOMEI Backupper Professional When I click on the link for the shareware download for this item and select install and save to download folder it shows a splash screen that it is downloading and installing and then nothing happens and it does not save the zip file to my download folder.

    I tried installing this several tiimes (even making sure I was using “Run as Administrator”), but I could never could get it to go beyond the splash screen.
    I already had AOMEI Standard on my computer, and when it asked if I wanted to uninstall it, I tried both the NO & the YES option, but still nothing.
    Why won’t it install???

    1) What is the difference between the Pro & Home editions?
    2) When the year is up, will it still restore any backups made?

    I had bought the lifetime upgrade from another vendor.
    I was not able to find the info from that transaction so gave up on trying to get that resolved.
    Now, I download and install this shareware on sale version thinking I will need to input one of the keys that are given but no, it never asks for a new code and registers as the pro version; that is the version I
    had bought.
    I have looked through the program, every option, no place to input a new code.
    The installed version is 6.4.0

    Regardless of whether this software is good or bad. If the user intends for it to be a bare metal backup of one’s computer.
    That implies it is on stand by (after making a backup) for one day when things go wrong.
    The the user Restores the Image to recreate his OS and programs.
    Thus a ONE YEAR License has no meaning in this context. It does not make sense.
    It is like buying a fire extinguisher that can only be used for 1 week after date of purchase.

    The software is great . Giving 2 stars because it is 1 year license only. Why not for ever without upgrades and updates?

    I have used this software before, and it seemed to work well. I believe that there is a free version, that will allow access to backups, once the Pro version expires. But check that out for yourself.

    Hello

    All four licence codes were invalid. Very Disappointed.
    I can provide proof too if need be. Can this be fixed please?
