When I try to install it won’t because it looks at another existing Ashampoo I have and won’t carry on. I assume I have to browse and put in a different name. Sorry to be so stupid but I am 80.

I have Ashampoo Backup 2020 installed.
Is Ashampoo Backup Pro 12 better?
    In which ways?

Something is not quite clear to me.
By backup of a partition, do they mean creating an image of that partition, or just backing up the data?

Ashampoo’s dated (e.g., ‘2020’) products are usually stripped-down versions of their main product (e.g., ’12’ for this one – their current version is now ’14’ but is for some reason priced at $25 rather than the current price of $31 for ’12’). Check out their product descriptions to see how they differ (one of the ways might be in their support for the ‘Infinite Reverse Incremental’ technology which I believe they picked up when they bought Ocster Backup about four years ago).
