I’m seeing a whopping 71% negative down-votes on this one, but nothing in this discussion that indicates what’s wrong with this version. And the review posted is very old, so not for this version. I’ve liked Ashampoo Music Studio in the past, though finding it somewhat limited, and was going to replace my older one with this newer iteration, but don’t want to end up with a worse option. It would be great if everyone down-voting posted even a short comment about why to help others decide.

Hey meme. One thing I’ve found with Ashampoo software including Music Studio is you can install this one along side your previous version. Installing this one will not overwrite what you already have, so you won’t lose your present version.

It requires Internet to activate online for an Ashampoo account. :(

Thanks, Arby, for assurances this can be installed alongside an older version. Reading the new review that was recently posted, I’m not seeing any mention of the ability to edit songs (i.e. cut out a bit, duplicate a bit, etc.) which is the main function in which I’m interested. It’s present in the older version, though quite unwieldy compared to the Asus application I find myself using much more. Anyone try this with the new version?

the complete Ashampoo® music studio is the version Music Studio version 7
all products of ashampoo with date (2016,2017,2018) on the title name are limited.
It’s the same as if you were using the Home Edition vs Professional.

[@Chicharrondepuerco] I do know that these “yearly” versions are limited. My question was specifically about the editing songs function. For me, not worth trying out if that function is now missing, since it wasn’t mentioned at all in the new review. However, if it is there, I would like to upgrade to this before the deadline.

    Hi,
Wonder same thing as “meme”, I do have older version 3 and 5, just wonder whether this 2018 version is any better at NORMALIZATION than older “pro” versions.
Beside, Malik mentions “repair”, what does it repair ?
    Thanks
