Ashampoo Slideshow Studio HD 3 has been replaced. The new Slideshow Studio HD 4 is a vast improvement on 3, with many changes both obvious and under the hood. It’s still not the easiest slideshow software to get to know — as yet, Ashampoo has failed to put together a proper User Manual for SS HD4 — and the ‘Help’ documentation is pretty much hopeless, but once you’ve figured out (because Ashampoo doesn’t actually tell you) that there’s a transitions button darn near hidden on the righthand of the GUI which saves you the trouble of struggling with not one but two different ‘settings’ icons (wow, that GUI really needs sorting for HD5) then you should be up and running.
Ashampoo has a special promotional price at the moment (April 2017) for this software. NOTE: Ashampoo releases stripped-down free versions of all its products. If it’s stripped-down, then it will have a year designation: Burning Studio 2017, Slideshow HD 2017, etc etc. If it’s the full, retail
program, then it will have a version number: Burning Studio 8. Slideshow HD4, etc.)
