How does this compare to Ashampoo’s Uninstaller 6???? any advantages??
Made 3 attempts without success to download and install to an Ashampoo directory on my D:\ drive. Each attempt appeared to succeed – final window said install was finished and use the shortcuts provided to start the program. There were no shortcuts on the desktop; there were no files in the Ashampoo directory on my D:\ drive; there were no new directories on the C:\ drive. Trying to install as Administrator did not help. Revo Uninstaller could not find anything.
My system is Windows 7 home premium with 8 gig memory and 830 gig free drive space.
After the attempts to install, I checked the C:\users\downloads directory and found the 13,472 kb installation file “Ashampoo UnInstaller 2017.exe”. When I tried to copy it to the Ashampoo directory on the D:\ drive, I was told the file did not exist. Tried downloading the hub again and starting over, but nothing changed.
Will appreciate your help.
I can’t get it installed to my Desktop. Now when I go to my “Download Folder” and open it, I get pieces of it that don’t make sense. I used the code sent to me.

Third: For Charles Brotman and others with similar questions. No big difference, except the new version

installs a dll that is not removed when uninstalling the Uninstaller
and you can delete it only in “Safe Mode”. So I think this is a big disadvantage of this version and a reason why I’d rather not use this pgm.
Perhaps it uninstalls other programs, but it definitely doesn’t uninstall itself correctly.
A .DLL remains in the installation folder and you can’t just delete it unless yout boot into safe mode.
With that experience I can say that I will never again install a Ashampoo program, even if it’s free :(UM PROGRAMA MUITO ÚTIL, SUPRE PERFEITAMENTE AS MINHAS NECESSIDADES.
ASHAMPOO UNINSTALLER 2017 (100% DISCOUNT) is bogus because it wants password in beginning and that i dont know!

Terrible. $60 for an application that is already included in their utility suite WinOptimizer 2017? Which costs less money? That doesn’t make ANY sense whatsoever. Not to mention, you can get their entire utility suite for FREE from THIS website, which as I said, includes this application among the many others included in WinOptimizer. However, if you don’t need an entire utility suite and are just looking for a standalone uninstaller, there are many better options out there. My suggestion would be Revo Uninstaller. I tend to get the best performance out of that one.
