CharlesGuestAfter install clicked, I can’t find any trace of the program!
BreMMGuestAfter install, program is just crashing with Runtime error 217.
Garbage.
ClairvauxGuestThis seems to be a very low-flying piece of software. Have a look at the developer’s website, and recoil in horror.
The program needs to be run as admin. For a simple note-taking app ? This is completely unneeded, and contrary to all security rules. You are also warned that you might need to run it in Windows XP compatibility mode “in Windows 7 and later”.
That’s sloppy programming.
ManuelGuestHello,
When installing, if no custom installation directory is specified the program will be installed to the root of the C:\ drive.
Is better to choose custom installation directory or just move the program folder after installation. Before posting here, please first read the documentation in the archive and follow the instructions.
On some system the program needs to be run as administrator – if you are very paranoid about security and don’t trust this program then don’t install it.Kevin NelsonGuest[@BreMM] I had the same problem! Perhaps it is Malware?
Don Curry-AllenGuestOkay. I followed all instructions. Activated as described. When I attempted to run the program, it required a password. Hovering over the field said the default password was “password”. But when I entered that, it gave an error message, saying “Incorrect password”. What now???
Don Curry-AllenGuestOkay. Had to uninstall and reinstall, but did get it to work. HOWEVER, does not appear to have any way to change the size of the window, so it extends down past the taskbar (Windows 10). Thus, the taskbar blinks. Any way to fix this?? As is, the product is NOT satisfactory!
Da JudgeGuestWELL ASSHAT another piece of space garbage. I sure hope you did not swallow his load over this one.
PICK ONE: YOU ARE A WORTHLESS;
(A) Nigger
(B) Jew
(C) Muslimplow_dogGuestDownloaded okay.
I activated the portable version which was included in my download, thank you very much for having portable included.
In the program, I made a note, saved it.
Then went to the Settings Page to change the password, and entered “password” (without quotes) and entered the new password in the two fields.
All Okay.
Looking forward to trying this.BreMMGuestOkay. I followed all instructions. Activated as described. When I attempted to run the program, it required a password. Nah, i don’t think so but whatever i tried so far, i couldn’t get it to work. It kept crashing. I gave up on this one and the developer gets a special place in my “avoid” list. What a waste of time that was. Sad.
BreMMGuestWrong quote, i meant to answer to Kevin Nelson. Oops.
ManuelGuestIf the program folder is not in the C:\Asman Notebook location
there is in the same location where the setup was downloaded.I am sorry if some people had difficulties with this software, but the program works without issues on many computers I tested. Some Windows security settings or antivirus products may interfere with the program’s normal execution.
You can also try the portable exe and skip the installer if you encounter problems. If the program still generate error please follow the steps below:
1. Right-click on the “Notebook.exe” file and select “Properties”.
2. Select “Compatibility” tab, and MAKE SURE you select:
“Run this program as an administrator” check-box.
3. Click “Apply” button.
4. Click “OK”BreMMGuest[@Manuel] That didn’t help at all, i did the steps and still get crash with Runtime error 217 and i had antivirus disabled. It’s a lost cause.
