I’ve never tried BitReplica. I’ve seen it offered free many times, especially after I have bought an Auslogics application.

I like Macrium Reflect and Aeomi Backupper. There are free versions which pretty do everything you want these programs to do. You don’t really need the paid version of either program. They both offer a Recovery Environment option box that you can click on to enables you to enter the program before Windows starts. I can’t tell the many times both have saved my bacon.

I’ll ask the age-old question of what happens to your backed up data after the one year license expires? Will you still be able to access it? Will backups still function? Will this revert to a lesser product? etc.

Just one year licence? Hahaha, thanx no. You will probably not able to restore the backup unless you pay for new licence.

    Right from the horse’s mouth:

Will I be able to use my backups if I stop using the program?
Yes, all backups created by BitReplica have an open format. Usually, it is a regular folder that can be easily explored, but you can set the program to save backups in a .zip archive that can be unzipped any time, which does not require BitReplica.

Program says it is activated but it keeps saying it is not. Restarted the program several times with no registration success.

John, thank you for your interest in our product. Creating new backups will not be available, once the license expires, but the access to your data remains unlimited. Just make sure you keep the profile you used to backup the files.

MekongDelta, thank you for your comment and interest in our product.
You will be able to restore your backups after the expiration of the license, if you don’t delete the profile used for backups. The access to the files is unlimited.

Sorry about the issue, Tom. It is possible that the registration information is being deleted from your registry by an antivirus or some kind of uninstaller program. We recommend checking if you have such programs installed and adding BitReplica to their Allow List. In case this doesn’t resolve the problem, please contact our Support Team and we will be happy to assist you further. Kindly send your license key and system information report at the email address [email protected] and we will help you right away. To get the system information report press Start -> Run, type in MSINFO32 and press the Enter button. Save the report using the File -> Save menu option.
Thank you in advance and we look forward to hearing from you!
