BreMMGuest[ @Ashraf] License is good only for a year as it states after registering, not lifetime as described on the frontpage!
Peter BlaiseGuestAside from one hit at VirusTotal …
Most times when I right-click an item and select “Open to file [ location ]” it goes to My Documents.
Most times when I right-click an item and select “Open to registry” it goes to the registry root.
Why are some items red and some black? Hmm … I think red means it cannot find the file location of the program listed ( I can find the programs in their proper locations .. this lack of intelligence does not bode well for this program … true, some programs leave their own registry item [ Install Location ] blank, but c’mon, fix this, don’t just stand there acting dumb! ).
It seems unable to present the OS Operating System [ \ ] symbol for me, instead showing W̶, as in C:W̶WindowsW̶SysWOW64W̶MacromedW̶Flash
Nice from an information standpoint that you can show columns for many things, like help and support links for programs in the list, and file and registry location, and it can copy and paste one line at a time ( it can’t save the entire listing as a spreadsheet or a text document ).
All it seems to do is call the default uninstaller, I see no other controls or offerings, or reports, nto even after uninstalling something.
Considering the “Professional” uninstallers out there that are free that do so much more, such as
– watch an installation and keep track of what to uninstall
– search after uninstall for leftovers
– some even offering to update programs to current versions
– original Quarterdeck Clean Sweep that would zip archive a program and it’s babies including reg information so you could reinstall it again or even migrate it elsewhere and install it elsewhere by unzipping and running the included reg file
… this seems like a beta test, not a v1, and not a comparatively well-informed and mature feature set assigned to the programmers, it seems featureless by comparison to other programs.
They claim:
– Organize your PC – NOPE, no controls for that ( sloppy web programming? or does it consider uninstalling to be “organizing”? ).
– Ultra-fast scanning engine – NOTHING SPECIAL, Scanning, sorting, took as long as other programs, but did not refresh the screen to say it had completed the task, so I waited and waited anyway …
– Forced Uninstall – remove remnants of already uninstalled programs – NOPE.
– Extended scanning for leftovers – NOPE.
– Unlimited deletions – PROBABLY, but they probably mean “unlimited uninstalls from the list”, the demo only allows 5.
They think it’s worth $10 – NOPE.
Their web site does not mention a time expiration on the purchased license – the SOS licenses expires in 1-year.
.YomeroGuestTrend Micro delete it automatically, marked as “malicious software”.

Mr.DaveGuest[@Peter Blaise] Thanks again for one of your in-depth reviews comparing reasonable expectations with what’s being offered. You saved me a lot of time — again! I’ll stick with Soft Organizer for now.

Since there is no thumbs up button, I just wanted to second what Mr.Dave stated.I was on the fence about trying this but found their website off-putting. I am always leary of a company that has no information about themselves, e.g. location, contact info, etc., on their website. Add to that those three ambiguous reviews, with pictures, and I have opted to pass on trying this. Their website was only recently registered on Aug 31 2019 so I assume they are a new company and still sorting things out. That is apparently why, as you stated, “this seems like a beta test, not a v1”.
I currently use Soft Organizer with IOBit Uninstaller as a back-up which sometimes finds things S.O. leaves behind and will stick with those. Again, thank you for that informative post.
sonycGuestThanks.
Master BearGuestAny company that doesn’t know the difference between a year long license and a lifetime license one should be approached with extreme skepticism. To the posters of the extensive testing results, thank you for saving me the time and frustrations of having to do those tests myself. I am in your debt.
I use “Do Your Data Uninstaller Pro 5” (Originally gotten here), and though a two-step process to remove leftovers, I find it very thorough and effective, and rarely needing to do restarts to clear my OS of leftovers. I highly recommend it.
