CAUTION: Screen Captures are altered even though they have nothing to do with time.

I’ve used IrisPro, f.lux, Sunset Screen, and now thought I would try CareUEyes. After it was operational, I went about my work as usual. The screen appears to be similar to what the others programs had done, so I never suspected CareUEyes was working differently. In the evening, I did some screen captures, and never thought anything about it. Typically, I don’t bother to check the results as this is a procedure I have been using for a long time now. Later on, I had go back and review one of the screen captures. I was surprised to see that it had a strong brown color overcast instead of the same appearance of the original dialog I had captured. Essentially, it was unusable, and I cannot recreate the same image to capture again. A lot of hours of work has been destroyed by CareUEyes. If I knew what values to use in a a graphics program with batch capability (such as irFanView), then I could possibly get back to the original, but after several experiments, I have not found the right settings to use.

None of the other programs affected the screen captures at all. Since it was evening again, I tried another screen capture; same result. I Exited CareUEyes, then did another screen capture. Everything was fine (no colors affected).

The alteration of color of screen captures makes CareUEyes unusable for me, and may make it unusable for others. You should try the same experiment yourself in the evening when the color is affected the most. If that is a deterrent for you, then you might want to consider one of the alternatives.
