oh how I love one-button one-click fixes, it gives you so much confidence especially if you have to be always online to minimize cyber threats. way to go…. ha ha ha

lately I developed allergic reactions to security software coming from the US and other western states.
I prefer Chinese because they won the race in AI.

This is the new name of what has been called SecuureAPlus hitherto. It is a well established anti-virus / security product. I’ve been using it since a full ten years now.
By the way, this is not an amerikkan product. Like many Russian, Chinese and east European software developers, SecureAge has an amerikkan shop-front address for sales purposes.

The program proved to be definitely paranoid during a routine installation of a program. The creation of any files was considered dangerous. At the same time, it itself reported that the creation of files in a temporary folder is the usual way for the installer.

During the preliminary scan, all game.exe files of the games I downloaded for free from giveawayoftheday were marked as a trojan. These files are harmless, they just call the Toomky Games page in the browser. Some games from other sources were also identified as malicious.

I suppose I don’t need a program with such alarmist behavior, and I will most likely uninstall it.

It is interesting to me that this company registered in the USA with subsidiaries in England and Japan,
also has a registered office in communist Vietnam ?!

No need for any intrusive virus software. I have been without any for 5 years, now, without incident. Let Windows Defender do the job. Use common sense in surfing. That’s it.

Will it only install to system drive; or is there a way to install to another drive – could not find a method.

To be fair, many AV programs alert to GOTD installations because of the way they are packaged, I believe. I currently have both Avast and Zemana AL installed and have to pause them both whenever I install a game from there. I fully trust the GOTD site and have no problem doing that.

A preliminary scan with any AV software may show false-positives. I’ve not tried this current offering yet but I have used this company’s previous anti-virus, SecureAge, and to my recollection, it was simple to whitelist items and customize things. Play with it before uninstalling, you might find it works for you. I’m going to give it a go myself.

    CatchPulse promo code not working.

Go into “Settings” then “Account” and there you check “Redeem License”. You probably did what I did at first, clicked on the “License” box and input it there but that did not work. Then I read the instructions! :P Oops!

I usually install my programs to a different drive other than the system drive but, unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to give you a choice.
