On initial glance at this I’d suggest a new product name if their target customer base in English speaking as the name means nothing relevant to the product function in the English Language. Going to download it now and see what executables it uses…

[@TK] on download page thereis a disclaimer note informing us of a critical feature missing form the giveaway that if you want it you’ll have to buy the full program, implying this is a crippleware giveaway, not a fully licensed complete product.

This giveaway has no free updates or free tech support and does not have the “Automatical ID3 tagger” feature. Want all of that? Then get Cinch Audio Recorder with free lifetime upgrades!

no doubt more to follow once I get inside it LOL

Windows Media Player 9 used to offer automatic ID3 tagging for free back in the day, not sure if the cloud database is still maintained.

Ok… the big PLUS sign button in the middle of the screen does NOTHING when clicked, common sense suggests it should bring up a file or folder open dialog… it does not. Please fix, Yes I know there are buttons elsewhere that have add file and add folder… but why have the big Plus button there if it’s not a button?
Under the Plus non-button there is some text

Import music to start reviewing and fixing your library.

Drop files of folders here. You can also use the import buttons above.

Only problem there are no “import buttons” they are called “Add Folders” “Add Files” and “Scan Computer” no “Import” mentioned anywhere else apart from the incorrect instructions!

So one adds a file using the Add Files button… and the UI changes after few seconds to one without the buttons to add files, folders, scan computer or empty list… from the new layout there is no way to edit the lists contents other than the press the blue background button with white text “Show results” which then takes us back to the scan results screen… which on can only choose to add file, folders or scan again and the sole option to empty list… why only empty entire list why not remove just the selected one(s)

If you export compatible copies it runs a hidden instance of FFMPEG.EXE to do the conversion… WHY? Ah I see why… they are downloading a copy of GPLv3 FFMPEG.EXE and FFPLAY.EXE and FFPROBE.EXE and using them from within a closed source program believing that means they are not illegally distributing GPLv3 FFMPEG binaries in/with a closed source product that is not compatible with the GPLv3 license… downloading to the path:
    C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WinGet\Packages\Gyan.FFmpeg_Microsoft.Winget.Source_8wekyb3d8bbwe\ffmpeg-6.0-full_build\bin

and distributing it as part of the closed source product does not magically make the closed source license or distribution compatible with the GPLv3 license. If they want the binaries to be COMPATIBLE with their proprietary closed source license they should be sourcing the LGPLv3 licensed builds NOT the GPLv3 licensed builds, they need to give prominent attribution to FFMPEG.ORG for the thousands of dev hours contributed by their contributors to the project and include copies of the two relevant licenses files, both the GPLv3 license text and the LJGPLv3 license text and then their software would be legal! currently it is not legal

currently the name and the user interface is very inconsistent, has several logical design bugs. I suspect the “automatical ID3 tagger” feature is not included in the giveaway because they do not have a comprehensive database of songs and their tags yet. I also doubt paying for it will suddenly make the database magically appear.

Everything you can sort of do here you can do with windows explorer right click context menu properties Details TAB or in the information pane in Explorer or in windows media player. Needs far more work there are far better and more consistent taggers out there.
Uninstalling, I find it inconvenient and difficult to use… It is a work in progress and this is an unannounced public beta test because they do not have a popular following that can beta test it for them for free and are not willing to hire professional beta testers for their illegal buggy software. That leaves us mugs!

[@TK] further to my allegation that this giveaway is an unannounced public beta.. on their main site the only version being offered fro download is version 1.0.0 not this version 1.0.3 according to the version information embedded in the main executable. If you want a finished, mature, stable let alone legal program… skip todays, it’s none of those things and won’t be for many more public pre-release versions.

I don’t see any MENU on the opening screen, so how can it be registered?

@ Alan This is because of your screen resolution. This program does not adapt to all resolutions!

[@Compugrid] I try to provide honest and accurate reviews of giveaways on all sites that permit visitor comments, there is one site that requires us to login but does not accept account registration requests so I don’t ever appear on softwaregiveaway.co.uk as no one but the site owner is allowed to comment/review a giveaway and their reviews are purely marketing lies and not ever revealing any wrong doing by their offerings developers. I also try to post via giveawayoftheday.com but more often than not I am censored, deleted before publication or like others have our comments illegally secretly edited by the moderator/censor. e.g today they have badware stealing and illegally distributing FFMPEG.EXE renamed to convertor.exe with non-free components compiled in making an international copyright and patent infringement crime for the developer to pass the program on to ANYONE even for free. It also makes unauthorised unsolicited executions of the main executable just after installation even if you deselect the box to execute the program, it does same on uninstallation and makes unauthorised connection attempts back to their servers with unknown levels of private information to them on install and uninstalling, Bet you won’t see those comments of mine on the Aiseesoft 4K Converter which is absolutely illegal to offer for download and to download. You will find me on places that do not censor comments illegally or against their terms and conditions. Sometimes you might find an innocuous answer to some other posters question slip through the censor but on GAOTD site they have trawled past giveaways and deleted some of my historical comments leaving broken conversations and references to my comments that are no longer available in others comments.

Thanks for your review. It saved me from wasting my time.
Have you thought of creating a blog so all your reviews can be kept?

I’ve been exploring online gaming platforms here in India for a while now, and I have to say I’m genuinely impressed with what I’ve found at glassi casino. What really stands out to me is the incredible variety of games available—from classic slots to live dealer options that make you feel like you’re right there in the action. The platform is secure, trustworthy, and runs so smoothly on both my phone and laptop. The welcome bonus is absolutely fantastic too, giving you so much extra value right from the start. Whether you’re a casual player or more serious about your gaming, this site has something for everyone. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in India looking for a reliable and entertaining online casino experience.
