I worry that I will someday lose the program and have to buy a copy just to restore access to my files. Even worse, the product may be abandoned and no longer be available for my OS. This is an even greater worry with freeware. A few products I used in the past are now abandonware. Every day the same question.
We offer our software as a 30 day trial version. During the 30 days all functionalities can be used. Even after 30 days decryption is still possible.
To Windows. In the past I have used a few programs from Windows which are no longer offered by Microsoft. These I can only continue to use on virtual XP computers. And the great thing about Microsoft is that they do not use or support standard formats, so I can ONLY continue to use the files in the Microsoft program. This only to philosophy of Microsoft.
Of course I can’t say that our company and programs will still exist in 10 or 20 years, but you should save a backup of the corresponding setup as a backup anyway.Apr 18, 2020 at 10:10 pm #15364398LacoGuest
My concern is to get the program started correctly. After entering the password a message pops up.
Caption: abylon ERROR!-GETOWNERHANDLEINT
Message: “GetSessionKey failed! Do you enter a valid password?”
The password is correct.
After clicking OK the program seems to be ready according to the “Ready!” in the left upper corner, but not working.
I tried to find some answers on Support, help and instructions for abylon CRYPT in the BOX page. The link to Instructions and Tutorials gave me:
