“So this is not even a properly tested finished program but just a Beta? Holy shnikeys.”

Despite being Beta, All CryptoBuster’s features were tested thoroughly on Windows 10 and Windows 11, and the reason we tagged this version as Beta is that it does not have all features we intend to develop to protect computers from ransomware. CryptoBuster will reach the final version when all anti-ransomware features are implemented, some of these features are:

    – The development of Windows Driver to intercept ransomware at the Kernel level.
    – Support honeypots and file system monitoring in network shares.
    – Startup programs monitor to detect ransomware persistence.

“No offense but guiding users through the Windows registry to generate some silly debug logs sounds hilarious. You should overthink how that works and implement a simple button in the programs own settings to accomplish that.”

There is already an option in the CryptoBuster setting to enable the Debug Mode, but since the user can not access the CryptoBuster UI, we are providing an alternative way to enable this feature. Modifying Windows Registry is a common technique to customize and fix issues in Windows and other software and CryptoBuster is no exception.

Debug logs are not silly as they are very important for software developers to trace software issues so that they can release software fixes. How we are supposed to assist you if we don’t know your computer specs or any technical details related to the issue.

[@Smart PC Utilities] Thanks for answering honestly. Ah shoot, i didn’t think about people not being able top reach the UI at all, my fault. Then ofc it requires different methods to accomplish that.

The rest seems okayish to me, then good luck with getting this software out of beta and into the bigger wild.

Personally i’ll wait until it’s really matured and finished. But thanks for the offer.
