full is full, this program missing the best effects , only paying to use… 700 mb for almost nothing. this program no is a producer-software, is a amateur-software.

Nowhere does it say LE before you download. Don’t get this cripple ware. Most of the features are unavailable. 60 dollars for this software? I don’t believe so.

just what I was hoping would come up – I’m transitioning to a new PC, and most of my Giveaways can’t be moved.

[@Mark] Sorry, but you are wrong. We state this is ‘LE’ on the product page — http://sharewareonsale.com/s/cyberlink-powerdirector-sale

“The software also does not let you output video in a resolution higher than 640×480 unless you make an additional purchase”
Really? Sorry but that is a MAJOR deal breaker for me. I was going to download and try this but my hard drive space is far more valuable than to waste it on software that is stuck in the 1990’s

Cyberlink are the kings of bait’n’switch, where they give away a product for free or sell it inexpensively, then when you go to use any of its touted useful features, you find it’s ‘crippled’ and needs to be ‘upgraded’ for money. It has been this way forever.

Not to mention how bloated and immense their installs are, and how, many times, they will change file associations without asking first. The last software of theirs I installed came bundled with a Blu-Ray player/burner, took up more space on my drive than Photoshop (which is quite a feat), then I discovered that while it did play Blu-Ray disks, it need an ‘upgrade’ to burn them.

Don’t bother, it will just make you nuts.

Opted out of this one due to it being the LE edition, in this case, this makes it basically a trial edition, which is no reflection on SharewareOnSale. but more of a reflection on Cyberlink not offering up a real deal for users of this site.
while there is nothing wrong with what is supplied here, the issue is with what is not supplied, the LE simply does not stand up to task for most home users in 2016. even the cameras we record on natively save the video in a higher resolution that what the software allows us to save/export. I suggest waiting for a better deal.
