GOOD!!This is a good program, BUT Cyberlink is notorious for crippling the offered free software. Does anyone know what features are crippled?

It requires Win media player. I despise win media player and ONLY use VLC. Microsoft just has way too many prying eyes into users personal data for me to run anything but the (actually not wanted) Win 7 os itself, and ONLY Win 7. (I prefer Linux Mint) I uninstalled this editor immediately. MS can bite me when it comes to spying on MY system. Tanx, but no tanx Shareware onsale. This software needs it’s own media source, or should be able to adapt VLC (FAR the best player of all formats!).
This is the “LE” stripped-down version of Powerdirector. Not all functions will work without purchase. Disingenuous of vendor to pretend this is free (Cyberlink is notorious for doing that).
On the other hand, the download is worth it. For consumer video editing, their software is the best, in my opinion (as opposed to pro editing).
They have a dazzling slideshow creator built into the program, but again, only a few option are available in this edition (but worth it anyway).[@BD] Don’t know why you think that. ANY video player can play the videos produced by this software.
The download for Cyberlink PowerDirector appears to be a dead link. Can you fix it please?

Why are there always reviews for a version older than the one presented?
Reviews dating from 2015 or 2016 are certainly not concerning the actual version.
It is as i compare win xp with win7…Thank you! I have waited for this for a long time. Being a senior it is difficult to find software that challenges the intellect and artistry due to the cost. Now with SharewareOnSale I can afford it.
