It’s a great disappointment to see this site become less user-friendly. When I discovered it, the terms for most of your offerings reasonably stated that they “Can be installed/reinstalled/registered whenever you want, but you must get your license key and download the installer before this offer has ended.”
In recent months, most have stated that they “Must be downloaded, installed, and registered before this offer is over — you cannot install / reinstall / register later.”
As a result, I’m no longer able to try out most of your offerings since my schedule is such that I must often obtain them while away and install them on my home PC when I get back.
[@Red Lion] Devs have to make money. One of the reasons they use our platform is to drive sales down the road. That requires certain restrictions on the giveaways we do; each giveaway has its own restrictions, designed to help drive sales for the developer while also giving SoS’ers chances to try paid software / apps for free. If you don’t like it, you can purchase full versions.
It amazes me how people have a knack for complaining about freebies / giveaways. The self-entitled attitude nowadays…
