In January 2022,
I had a problem with the sound of my laptop.
I scanned it with Driver Booster and it showed me that my Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Sound Driver is mine. . .JURED!
I replaced it with the one who offered me the program, restarted and got – Blue Screen!
My Windows 10 Pro operating system was so badly damaged that I couldn’t restore it even with the available
4 base points that I used for System Restore!
I had to have my computer serviced to reinstall my operating system and now I’ve been restoring my data
in it for a whole week!

The licence code is not valid in Poland :-(

On the one hand, as vendors eliminate their own web archive support for reinstalling their old hardware, so, programs like this that seek and find and install old drivers are all the more important.

On the other hand, the old adages of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” and so on, apply – and change only ONE thing at a time, rebooting and making restore points in between, and always have an untouched backup – if we crash our own computer, we are the only ones responsible.

Here’s an example of what I do:
– I got a Windows 10 POS Phone Operating System Dell, going deadly unresponsive,
– installed Windows 7 x64 instead,
– downloaded Dell drivers for it via another computer, a disorganized pain, it’s almost impossible to identify proper installation order,
– installed the drives, arduous, nonsensical, not totally effective, some devices still unrecognized, but I managed to get it on the web, ( though I have a USB2-ti-Ethernet adapter with it’s own drivers which I use in really impossible “can’t get on the web” situations – I did not need that here, whew! ),
– ran this IObit Driver Booster 9 Pro, and found the ONE remaining driver I needed, so I installed that ONE driver only, rebooted, all is happy.

Note: IObit Driver Booster 9 Pro suggested I update almost all of the other drivers … I may, one at a time, later.

Bonus: IObit Driver Booster 9 Pro offers to update C++ and other ‘game’ components.

A free alternative is free [ PatchMyPC ] for home users, which offers C++ updates.

Microsoft updates work, still on Windows 7, dozens of those arrived< I selected ONE at a time, rebooted, and made restore points in between.

Dell declines to install and run their own Dell update checker, hence the need for IObit Driver Booster 9 Pro.
