Hi, Dear. Thanks for your understanding. Your comment is the most useful one until now. Add the function of using a microphone and transcribe the audio stream will be considered. But there are already some useful and free tools in the market.
Anyway, I am looking for a “free” solution to transcribe an audio file into text. Many tools are developing some features based on the Google API but charge more money. Why not let the users have the opportunity to use the API directly just like the developers? This could not only help them boost productivity but save more money. I think it is not a bad thing.

Anyway, calling the API is the cheapest method and that is what our developers do. However, for users without programing skills, the door is closed.

When I load an mp3 file to convert to text it said the file can only be 5 minutes in length! ReallY?

Go to the setting, and you can choose the male/female voice.

Hi, Dear. Using mode 1/2, only 5 minutes. By choosing Google transcription mode, you can upload 30 minutes mp3 file.
No way! Apple’s speech-to-text run circles around Google’s api. I have the tool in my hand all the time.

Please load your own Google Json File[@njwdt] I got the same error messages. I used a 20 second wave file with a standard sample rate 44100hz to produce 3 different mp3 files of 3 different bit rates ranging from 96-160 bps. The files sizes were only 300-500 KB. In all 3 files I got the following messages
Mode1: Error: Audio file is too large!
Mode2: Error: UNSUPPORTED_SAMPLE_RATE， please contact the support team or try other modes.There was nothing on their web site giving guidance about using modes 1 & 2. Incidentally, the web site doesn’t provide a secure http connection!!!
