Giweaway Program – Portable ? – Not an installer ??????
Where is the installer? – “exe”- ?
This is a portable version. There is no setup.exe or equivalent in the install folder.
My workaround was to go to the Exiland website, download the free version, install it, and then copy all of the files from the unpacked portable version (SharewareOnSale License) to the newly installed free version folder. Which installs under C:\Exiland Backup Free and not C:\Program Files!
You will also need to go into Settings > Settings File Tab > and change the working folder backup location to C:\Exiland Backup Free\WorkingFolder\settings_copy .
You can see that I didn’t change the directory name from Free to Standard but still works fine.
I used this for a while and liked it, but then BitDef started calling it out as a virus. It was saying it had a trojan in it, so I switched to another one that I got from SharewareOnSale that is similar and also good, but doesn’t get my antivirus screaming all the time.

This is Exiland Backup Standard (not “Exiland Backup Free” edition)
You can download it only 9-10 April, but you can use it for unlimited time.I used this for a while and liked it, but then BitDef started calling it out as a virus.
Sometimes little-known anti-virus programs mistakenly assume that there is a virus in the program. Reason: heuristic analysis is not working properly in an AV-program. Our program does not contain any viruses.

You can download the Exiland Backup Free exiland-backup.com/backup-download.html, install it, and then copy the settings file “WorkingFolder\ExilandBackup.tid” from the Standard to the Free.
