    1. Required to install on your C directory – no other option.

    2. Ran for 30 minutes and produced nothing

    3. Uninstalled, but thanks for letting me have a look

The program pretends to search by graying out all buttons except for the STOP button.

In Task Manager, the program does not appear to bee doing anything, even though CPU and Memory are allocated to it every so often.

The program needs an indicator showing percentage completed. This is an important feature for any program that takes time to complete. Otherwise, aa program just about to complete is task could be killed thinking it was doing nothing.

Same result as you John – Taskmanager shows 0% CPU and 0% Disk activity during the supposed search – I only let it go for 10 minutes before stopping it. Useless software on my Win 10 64 bit system. Uninstalled.

Testing it in a folder containing many files meeting the searching criteria such as minimum file size large than 10MB, however, no result has been shown after running for a long time of search and no any indication of searching in progress.
This software is not working for Windows 10 64 bit OS. Please state it clearly on your description.

I noticed some comments that pointed out the program was not doing anything, and in some cases, they uninstalled it. I cannot say the same myself. I like to give a program the benefit of a doubt, so I’ve let it run continuously for the last four days. Granted it hasn’t found anything yet, but maybe it takes much longer than other programs. In Task Manager, every so often, it gets a slice of CPU and memory, but its usage is so small, it makes it look like it isn’t doing anything. That is one of the things I like about this program; it is extremely low on CPU and memory usage. I wish all of my other programs were like that, but then again, they produce some results in moments after starting. I will leave Fat File Finder running until I have to reboot. At least the developer can’t complain that I am attacking the program without giving it a fair chance. I am starting to think it isn’t doing anything at all. I’ll just have to wait an see.

Obviously, if this program really isn’t doing anything, the developer would let us all know, and even make amends with a working program.

[@Gary] Well stated Gary. Having read your excellent treatice, I’m thinking that I may have been somewhat premature in my previous note having only let FFF run for 10 minutes before making a negative judgement and uninstalling. I’ll come back in a week or so and see what your extended evaluation has uncovered. BTW, thanks also for pointing out how easy FFF is on system resources with. Thanks again. :-)

[@Gary] I can’t stand it! it has run for 4 days and hasn’t found anything? I don’t have this program and don’t plan to. If you are looking for something like this, try out the 20 year old free program windirstat. I use this every day. It will look at an entire drive or a directory, will show you files grouped by directory, will show you the file sizes sorted by size, will show you duplicate file names with different extensions (movie.mkv movie.mp4), you can update by individual file or do a universal update. And it does it in seconds.
