Frank KreuelGuestSchade das bei Hideaway VPN kein Key kommt. Schade
Frotzdem Frohe Ostern.
Mfg Frank KreuelPeter BlaiseGuest[@Frank Kreuel] the key is given when registering, so, go back through the “I want this” to checkout screen again, and you’ll see “… To get your giveaway license key, click here to go to the giveaway page and fill out and submit the form. You will then be given your license key on-screen [ and sent to you in an email ]…”
AND this is duplicated in your email from SOS entitled Download is ready: HideAway VPN | Apr 4, 2021 – find it and re-open it, scroll to: “… DIRECTIONS The download link for HideAway VPN is given to you above. To get your giveaway license key, click here to go to the giveaway page and fill out and submit the form. …”
Some offers are different in how to get the key, that’s how this one works.
AND the program is virus-free at VitusTotal, and that’s good.
Sadly, a 1-year “trial”, not a full giveaway, that’s bad.
I’ll try it and see how it works for me and report in.
I currently use [ TorGuard. net ] and I’m happy with the features, performance, and value.
Free BrowSec browser ad on is also nice for some simple access.
What do other people use and like, compared to FireTrust Hideaway VPN?
.TIENGuestAfter the VPNmentor.com on 2 April 2021, it not active yet !!
НиколайGuestI can’t activate the software!I downloaded it twice, installed it, got two keys, but the window is not active? in the window it says that the program is activated with the given data that I selected.but when I decide to turn it off, it doesn’t respond or give me a window to activate the software.when I test it shows my IP does not change anything I have 8 hours left until the version expires :( You may need to install. I still don’t understand the reason why it doesn’t work? These are the keys not used.

EUZZ-3XXQ-4YKYPeter BlaiseGuestWell, that’s just too bad – I installed FireTrust HideAway VPN, entered the supplied code, redirected my computer and or browser to, say, New York ( where I definitely am NOT ), and ,,,
– my Google Search turned to Hong Kong and Asian characters,
– my location, such as asking for “McDonald’s near me” shows … my EXACT location where I am, neither New York nor Hong Kong,
– [ https :// www. whatsmyip. org/more-info-about-you/ ] immediately drew a map to the place I am browsing from at the moment, again, NOT New York, NOT Hong Kong, but accurately reveals my current street location and building, ouch!
– speedtests:
— [ Fast. com ] Internet speed test from Netflix times out and claimed it could not find servers with FireTrust HidaAway VPN on, versus when completely turned off and exited, where my Internet speed is 23 Mbps at my current location ( wireless on an old computer ).
— Google search “internet speedtest” shows 60 Mbps with FireTrust Hideaway VPN ON, and … 23 Mbps with FireTrust HideAway VPN OFF and exited … I will not even try to understand that – FireTrust HideAway VPN is an wi-Fi Internet Accelerator, NOT a secure hidden anonymous VPN?
Complete and total failure – except that possible extra speed on wireless on an old computer.
Well, that’s too bad.
Alternatives, again,
– free BrowSec browser extensions has WORKED for me in the past, though some sites recognize it as “fake” and do not let some services through, and it definitely reverts to 1.5 Kbps -s-l-o-w- internet speed,
– fee-based [ TorGuard. net ] for me works flawlessly, I am wherever I say I am in the world, and all services work locally there, AND it seems to accelerate my wireless connection, getting 60 Mbps through Google search “internet speedtest” and 150 Mbps through [ Fast. com ], I have no idea how these accelerate speed, I presume they are caching, NOT actually reading/writing through my WiFi to my computer.
Verdict: FireTrust HideAway VPN is NOT trustworthy, revealing my current physical street address, AND inexplicitly converting my browser to Hong Kong language.
If FireTrust does NOT join us here to get engaged, I’d suggest that they are not ready for prime time yet, and their FireTrust HideAway VPN is to be avoided as a complete and total waste of time, an untrustworthy risk.
Sorry, but move on, and be grateful if we avoid this or tried and failed to get it working – even with successful installation, it fails, horribly, as if it’s a placebo.
.Peter BlaiseGuestCorrection since reloading free BrowSec browser extension, Internet speed has been improved through free BrowSec and is only half normal speed according to [ Fast. com ], ~14 Mbps down from ~23 Mbps which is better than what it used to show, it was 1.5 Mbps, though Google search “internet speedtest” does still show ~1.5 Mbps with BrowSec, oh well, I expect a VPN/proxy to have speed and responsiveness compromises because I know what they are doing, I’m not direct connecting, I’m connecting through relays, so of course there’s going to be a speed/responsiveness hit.
But it looks as if vendors are averse to connect with us here, so FireTrust HideAway VPN seems absent, and we are on our own.
Does anyone else have any experiences to share?
.Ionut SteffGuestis very nice this vpn :D
NickGuestInstalled on Windows 7 Ultimate. Won’t load, just a black window. Using 40-50% CPU. Been like this for 30 minutes now! Fastest VPN ..’seriously’. Seriously? Uninstalled.
Winnie the Poo(h)GuestI always looked for VPN which will spy on me and will be easy to break by ISP/authorities. Many thanks!
FrankieGuestHello!
Whats wrong? I click “click here to go to the giveaway page” and redirect the shop page when i can buy 1 year 50%.
Help!Ron HeltonGuest[@Peter Blaise]
Thanks Peter. That was a very informative review.
I have always been a little leery of the trustworthiness of VPNs.
How can I tell that they have not installed a backdoor to spy on internet usage
and how do I know that it is actually keeping my communications private?Yes, revealing the exact location is the opposite of what I thought VPNs were
designed to provide.Thanks again, Peter.
Sincerely,
Ron Helton
