[ @David] Found it… 2 downloads… :)Mar 15, 2016 at 6:48 am #4530662John DippoldGuest
I downloaded and installed and when I registered I selected ‘LopeEdit Pro’ and clicked ‘Register’. It said it successfully registered. I opened it and clicked help and about and it says ‘LopeEdit Lite’. I started over and reinstalled again and got the same results.Mar 15, 2016 at 7:16 am #4530794Jim BGuest
Symantec flags this as malware – checked on Virustotal and Metascan – both found 1 hit. Not installing this until I find out more about these. PE:Malware.Generic(Thunder)!1.A1C4 [F] , W32.InstallCore.XB.hwzw.mgMar 15, 2016 at 7:23 am #4530839DavidGuest

Selected LopeEdit Pro when prompted during installation. Seems that text fonts are limited in the edit preferences. Is there a way to add in my favourite fonts such as Verdana and Georgia. Apart from that, it is a useful text editor. Thank you.Mar 15, 2016 at 9:29 pm #4533073Jim BGuest
[ @Jim B] Installed and no issues (full Malwarebytes scan) == false positiveMar 16, 2016 at 12:33 am #4533366Anna ChugaevGuest
Norton found it dangerous for WIN10. Any idea why>Mar 16, 2016 at 6:38 am #4535286Bernice CookGuest
I’ve tried several times to download the Installer for LopeEdit Pro, and as quickly as it shows up on my desktop it gets deleted by my Norton Anti-virus which says it’s a virus. I’m running Windows 8.1. So as it stands, I can’t install it and probably won’t even try again in the future.Mar 16, 2016 at 3:14 pm #4537160WadeGuestMar 16, 2016 at 9:39 pm #4537781rodkenGuest
Looked good, I haven’t enough time to fully test this but Wade is right, I get the same error. This is not a good sign from a text editor. Programmers are religious when it comes to editors. Make a good first impression! everything else I’ve tried so far has been fine.Mar 16, 2016 at 9:46 pm #4537792rodkenGuest
Also I didn’t have a problem installing and registering from the lic file.
FWIW if your Security software is flagging safe software as malware you may want to think about changing, just a thought.Mar 17, 2016 at 8:18 pm #4541648JSGuest
I followed the instructions and click register and up comes file “LopeEditPro as the file to open not the .lic file. In a different place I see the .lic file and if I click on that the install file comes up again and I went through the whole install process again.
