I could not locate a changelog. What changed from version 2.0 to 2.1?
    Thank you.

Does the recipient need to have the same software to unlock the file? Or can she use Adobe or ABBYYY?

    1. Yes, it works, I thought it would be worse, I readed the comments to some program (I thought to this one), and they wrote that it simply superimposes the image, and where was the test – it becomes pictures, but the program “PDF Page Lock Pro” – – does well, everything is fair.

2.The main thing is to stick to the rules: do not add anything on the blocked pages (“PDF-XChange Viewer” allows you to add text, note) and not add pages to encrypted PDF-files.

    3. There was an experiment:
hid the pages, then deleted the metadata of the PDF file, and when opened, the hidden pages remained hidden, not deleted.

    I advise this program

This looks like a cool program, and when I looked at the product’s webpage I got really excited. I *thought* that I could encrypt pages and provide them to a customer along with a password they could use to decrypt it. Then I realized that it appears that the ONLY way to decrypt it is IF THE USER HAS THE SAME SOFTWARE! I had hoped to be able to provide “most of the story” as a free PDF download, and the reader could buy the unlock code to unlock the whole PDF any time they wanted to read it. Unfortunately, they would also have to buy the software, and that defeats my intended use, since they could simply save a decrypted version and distribute it.

Bottom line: Great idea, but I’m not sure what the use case is other than to hide some PDF pages, while being able to show others all the time. I’m not sure why someone wouldn’t simply create 2 PDF documents – one with, and one without the sensitive information. The “hidden” information is inaccessible in either case.

I could see a potential use case for industrial situations, but for private individuals, not so much.

I would love to be wrong about my assessment, and I’d be interested in hearing about other use cases, so please comment on this post!
