There is nothing wrong with this program being “64-bit only”, it requires a decent computer with at least 8 GB of RAM. Plus a decent GPU, I suppose, it certainly does use it. It can be still rather slow with many filters and masks applied.
It can process 8-bit images in 16-bit colour space and it can save 16-bit tiffs or psd files with layers. As a standalone program it lacks some features, at least I was not able to find a way to rotate and crop the image. But I was able to open the resulting psd file in Gimp 2.9.1, showing two layers. Might be different in Photoshop. Tested on a cr2 image.
If you like this way of photo editing, I think it is worth a try.
Hi! Although I’m on a 64-bit machine running Windows 10, my repeated attempts to install have consistently failed. I can’t imagine what the problem is. I’m about to give up. Any suggestions?
Not possible to install on my windows 7 Pro, you need 64 bit !!!!
[@Lola Estes] It will work on Win10 but 64-bit only.
[@Mike] You may have to uninstall v9 first, but I’m not sure. At least make sure v9 is closed before you install v9.5.
I have tried to download exe file with a very slow connection with much stopping and manually resuming download (12 hours prediction). After downloading for hours and hours from both main link and mirror I got “403 error”. When trying a third time to download I got “Sorry, you have reached your download limit for this file Go to homepage”. What a construction! Do they suppose somebody will download just for fun for hours and hours same file again and again?
Can’t try, won’t buy!
I intended to recommend the Apple variant to a neighbour buying a lot of pro foto software. I*m glad that I didn’t do so before trying myself!

Today re-installed Windows, the current serial number is no longer good. I must be throw it in the trash!

However, when I tried to install software on my lap-top for traveling, when I entered the activation code it says:”this license exceeded the number of allowed activations. (-115)”
The license says that it is a 2 computer lifetime license.
How can I get this activated on computer #2??
