Well, having to create an extra account only to receive the product key for activation seems kinda overdone but that is similar to how Ashampoo works, a one-time thing you have to do.
Also having to subscribe to the newsletter is also not the best option but you can at least cancel it later in the account settings after receiving the product key for activation.
Other than that, activation was pretty simple, online. So thanks for the offer.
[@soft Xpansion support] Can we activate the program at any given time using the product key or only during a finite time period? Thanks in advance, if you answer that question.

Opening the account is useful, because from there you can directly send support and reactivation requests or download the program installation or updates.
The product key can be used even after the promotion, with one restriction. You can only use the product key on one system at a time.

i am having trouble getting my license key
Before I download and install this program I would like to know if it allows to delete a part of the text.
Wasted over an hour on this extremely clunky registration/activation process to no avail.
Avoid this installation process if you value your own time at all!
I tried to change the newsletter subscriptions to no avail (which is required for getting the license code – annoying, but easy enough to change). I logged onto this site from several different systems, different browsers, I click on the Change button for the newsletters. The site flashes but never changes anything.
Very frustrating and not worth all of the trouble.
Here’s what I get every time I try to use the code…I am told I have to subscribe to their application newsletter. I go to the account management as instructed. There is no place to confirm the subscription unless I go into the ” Delete Account” selection. Then it offers a yes or no button to select whether or not I want to continue to receive the newsletter. I hadn’t even signed up for it yet…I cleared the cache, signed back on, used the given code, and it told me it was incorrect (I copied and pasted the code in & it worked 3 of the 4 times I tried to use it)…but it kept cycling me back through the subscription page, upon which it spun out and would go no further. Big question…why would I want software from a company that can’t even get their web site to function properly??? When I tried to delete the account a pop over would appear and ask me if I wanted to keep receiving the newsletter, yes or no, and the delete account permanently button was grayed out with the popover not going away no matter which button, yes or no, I clicked on. This has gone on for a half hour. I’ll pass.
It would be nice if people were not sent on an around the World clicking trip.
