    What is this?
The Shareware on Sale offer says: This is a 1-computer lifetime license, for commercial or noncommercial use.
When I entered the given Licence Key the Program says it ist good for 10 days?

I’m not surprised that SoftOrbits is pulling another scam like they did with the MP3 downloader that was only good for 10 days at a time. I fell for their Lifetime use of the program when I went to update it. After paying them $50 for the lifetime use (which allegedly included unlimited updates and customer support), it still was only fully functional for another 10 days. I emailed and called them to get a new license key since the “Lifetime Key” they sent me stopped working altogether. They issued me a new key but again it stopped working after a couple of weeks. This non-sense went on for every 2 weeks for about 3 months until their customer support service finally told me there was nothing they could do.

As long as it’s for free you’ve got nothing to lose, but take it from my experience. “Don’t Even Think About Sending Them $, because you’ll probably be in for a big disappointment”

This is not a modern program, no AI and is using an unlicensed 2013 version of FFMPEG libraries and installs into the users appdata hierarchy with no option to put it in a more secure location like the C:\Program Files hierarchy or on another drive. It defaults to opening the Pictures folder which is a mistake seeing as it’s designed to ONLY process videos!
It also installs and runs under Vista and uses an ActiveX library (proof it’s old tech). It is using the FFMPEG libraries to do the “removal” of logos which is quite poor and very obvious something has been removed. It is better than some video logo removers that use the FFMPEG.EXE and a command line directly as they often only process the areas over the entire length of the video even if the logo to be removed is only present for a subset of the video duration but I could not get just a section or different points at different places in the timeline selected and then to be removed. Selection tools are better too and the processing is multi-threaded and will max out CPU.It will not use modern GPU accelerations as the libraries predate that and of course there will be quantifiable quality loss with rendering, processing and then lossily re-encoding with some unknown automatic parameters that can be modified but only 3 encoders are supported xvid, divx and h264, nothing modern.
It also writes log files to the programs installation folder that are named after the date. I uninstalled it from the default location and manually installed it into the C:\Program Files\ hierarchy on Vista system. Works as well here as in it’s default insecure location. One can tune the CPU usage by adjusting the core affinity in task manager processes/detail pane. The 10 day limitation is on the UNREGISTERED state, register with the provided key and the license is non-expiring for THIS version only. The normal asking price of $139 for this product is ridiculously inflated considering it’s only an old GUI for unlicensed and unattributed set of out of date FFMPEG libraries.
