I’ve had scanners since the 90’s, so I know how to use one. After installing this successfully, I tried to scan a 2-page black and white document. It scanned the pages promptly, and the interface showed the scan process still ongoing after the scanner had finished the scan. I let it continue, figuring that it was processing the scanned pages. I let it continue to spin for around 10 minutes, and nothing more happened, so I closed it.

I regularly scan with this scanner with Acrobat, Paintshop Pro, and Viewing Booth, so there is nothing wrong with the scanner. Any idea what this problem might be? Other than that, my recommendation for an improvement would be to allow the user to choose between defaulting to the Windows scan interface while scanning, or using the scanner’s native interface.

If I understand this correctly, “saving to Word” actually means that the program packs a raster image to docx format, having no OCR engine? Sorry, if this is a stupid question.

As soon as I installed and registered ScanPapyrus, I ran it as a test. I found the software is simple, logical and easy to understand. It found my scanner automatically – without any hunting or instruction. I scanned the test document and saved to PDF. It was perfect. Having an immediate scan to PDF is extremely helpful, eliminating an entire step in the normal process.

Drawbacks? I suppose there is one. The actual scanning is a little slow compared with generic software like Irfanview. But it worked flawlessly, and I will be keeping and using ScanPapyrus as my default scanner from now on.

I like the download registration page I saw for the ScanPapyrus program.
Would like to see a PRINT THIS PAGE icon at the top of that type of page. Makes it a reminder for user to save the registration info. Or maybe a save icon to save as pdf – save a tree.
There are other scan to pdf programs- one powerful one is used with the NEAT scanner… or so i’m lead to believe. never used it just saw ads for it.

Thanks for the interesting software and other offers at amazing discounts!

    Hi

I registered the software as advised in the mail.
However, after every few scans, the software would again and again ask me to “activate”, which I kept doing.
Now I get the error “You have entered an invalid serial number”

    Please help.

    Thanks and Regards

Like Ketan Bhola, (above), I’m having the exact same problem:

I registered the software as advised in the mail (on the day it was offered by SoS).
However, after every few scans, the software would repeatedly ask me to “activate”, which I kept doing.
Now I get the error “You have entered an invalid serial number”

Please help! (I thought that software registration algorithms were better than this!)

    Thanks.
