Wow, no need to scan a QR code, it did nothing but show the PC address anyway plus :12304
No need to have ANY special software on a smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER.
Just open a browser on the smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER.
In the browser address bar, browse to the computer IP that has the ScanTransfer Pro running plus :12304
( meaning, for example, http://192. 168. 1. 13:12304 )… wait …
[ +Select Files ] should appear in the browser on the smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER, tap it / click it.
Browse to anything on the smartphone OR ANOTHER COMPUTER, select and tap [ Done ] and sit back, it will transfer and be done at LAN speed.
Files transfer default is to C:\Transferred Files
NO CABLES, sweet, so ANYTHING that can connect to the network and browse CAN transfer files, EVEN Windows 10 Home that may not network because … Microsoft.
ScanTransfer is NOT a manager, I now have to delete the originals of what I transferred over, but nice to have ScanTransfer as a plan B.
All the QR Code got me what the PC’s address with :12304 at the end.
Once I got it working, I realize it’s super simple, just a web server with a call to file transfer, that’s it.
Good little one-trick pony, well done, hard to explain because it’s unlike any other transfer program, it NOT a manager.
.I found some users said the key is invalid for the giveaway.
Please be informed that the giveaway serial key is for the giveaway installer only, you can download the installer package from SharewareOnSale. However, if you download the installation file or the portable version from official homepage, the key would not work.
Please also be noted that when you copy and paste the serial key to activate ScanTransfer, please only copy the serial key text, without the space.

The main thing is that the file name is written in English.Downloaded, installed, and activated.
According to thier webpage, ScanTransfer works on Windows XP and Vista as well.
The portable version worked fine for me on Windows XP Pro and 10 Pro, but did not seem to work on Wine in Ubuntu.
I then installed the version offered here onto my XP computer.
Though I did not time it, it seems much faster than using bluetooth for transferring files.
Thinking that I may buy the portable version.

What’s going on?Installed OK but ….. Well I tried two Android phones I cannot get it to work. Scanned with a Q app and photo app . Both recognise the code.
No notification pops up as stated in FAQ. If you choose a browser to open the IP address it just times out with a blank page .
So cannot choose photos let alone see any photos .
