    Not working.
I get “Preparing…Starting the service…” then an alert box states “Service started. Please restart the program. Exiting.” and then the “ok” button is clicked, the program vanishes.

I have an older phone that takes great pictures, and I have a bunch on there. The media stops & firefox crashes. I tried to send the URL to my PC, but it wants me to pick files, not download them.
It worked on my newer phone, which takes lousy pics, so I don’t use it, although it did work with that phone, and the URL works the same way. Too bad it won’t work with my older phone, uninstalling.

I decided to try this software; downloaded and installed on my Win10 Pro 64 bit system. Had no problems. I must say that after clicking on UPGRADE and pasting the code, it did not work. Tried again and same thing. I decided to click in the code area to the left of the entered code and realized there was one space after the insertion point. So I hit my delete key and the numbers moved to the left and the key was accepted. I then did what video suggests on the home page and had no trouble transferring pictures to my drop box account and it would work if I had selected a folder on my computer. The best part that I liked was after the transfer, there is a button to click to go to the transfer folder directly. That is a plus for me. I always visit the home page of any software to be given away here prior to downloading and installing. If Miss Pita above had done that, she would have seen Phone Requirements: iOS 9.0+ Or Android Chrome 59+ I have an Apple X and had no problems. I will probably keep this software as it is really easy to transfer photos and the quality is perfect even though I have software to do this, but it requires plugging phone into computer. I did not compress the jpeg files.

    1. Excellent program “ScanTransfer”.
    2. “ScanTransfer” is able to transfer document files besides graphic files.
    3. *** Languages: English, Français, Deutsch, Español, Portugues, Italiano, Polski, Dutch, Ελληνικά, 日本語, 한국어, 家 中文, 繁體 中文, العربية, TURKİSH, Hrvatski, and Danish. ****
Russian language is present in “ScanTransfer”.
    4. Minor flaw:
poorly digests (understands) files with Russian letters.
    5. Really faster downloads to your computer than AirDroid.

TLDR: Unlikely to use this one. Sorry, it’s a great idea but something’s not right.

    Program installed and registered easily.
Tested with a batch of 13 movies and pics from my iPhone X.
To me it seems an unusual process:
    – Run ScanTransfer on PC
    – Open Camera app on phone and scan QR code from PC
    – Tap the button to open “website” from QR code in Safari browser
    – Then pick what to transfer
    – Click on “Add” (not “Done” as shown on their website) and the transfer starts.
Overall though, it’s the fastest and easiest way I’ve found to copy pics & vids to my PC.

    + Can pick destination folder
+ No special phone app needed
    – Datestamp on transferred files is the time of the transfer, NOT the time the pic was taken or video recorded.
    – Photo names were changed. Movies kept original filename.
    – Compression. Apple makes it impossible to see details of photos, like resolution and size. It seemed to me the photos were compressed, slightly lower quality than original. To double check, I emailed a photo to myself, downloaded it from email to the PC.
    ScanTransfer photo: 2048 x 1536, 72 dpi, 0.631 MB, 644CD481-48DE-4071-BC99-1E5BEB25EBB1.jpeg
    Emailed photo: 4032 x 3024, 72 dpi, 1.89 MB, IMG-1100.jpg
So yes, even though option to compress was unchecked in ScanTransfer, the image WAS compressed.
That might be something Apple does automatically when Safari uploads a photo, but I see no way turn it off.

I checked out a movie transfer as well. Apple said the file size exceeded the limit for emailing, so I sent an iCloud link to my email, used that to download to PC. Results are strange:
    ScanTransfer video: 1920 x 1080, 7809 kbps, 112 Mb
    iCloud transfer: 1280 x 720, 3399 kbps, 48.7 Mb
I don’t know if iCloud is compressing, or if ScanTransfer is expanding, but files are different. I think the video quality looks the same for both. And both transfer paths changed to file date to date of transfer, even the datestamp shown in Properties for both is the same original date the video was recorded. Hmmmm.

Overall, this is very promising. But the quality loss for pics, and the increased file size for videos, means I probably won’t use it unless no other options work.

If devs care to respond with things I can do to correct the issues above, I will definitely help them and try again. I’m using Win 10/64 Home, Chrome browser, iPhone & Windows are up to date.

    Kudos, [@Mr.Dave], thanks.

Wow, no need to scan a QR code, it did nothing but show the PC address anyway plus :12304

No need to have ANY special software on a smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER.

Just open a browser on the smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER.

In the browser address bar, browse to the computer IP that has the ScanTransfer Pro running plus :12304
    ( meaning, for example, HTTP :// 192. 168. 1. 13:12304 )

    … wait …

[ +Select Files ] should appear in the browser on the smartphone OR ON ANOTHER COMPUTER, tap it / click it.

Browse to anything on the smartphone OR ANOTHER COMPUTER, select and tap [ Done ] and sit back, it will transfer and be done at LAN speed.

I sent text files, executable files, spreadsheet, javascript, crap, test junk, all fast and perfect.

Files transfer default is to C:\Transferred Files

NO CABLES, sweet, so ANYTHING that can connect to the network and browse CAN transfer files, EVEN Windows 10 Home that may not network because … Microsoft.

ScanTransfer is NOT a manager, I now have to delete the originals of what I transferred over, but nice to have ScanTransfer as a plan B.

All the QR Code got me was the PC’s address with :12304 at the end.

Once I got it working, I realize it’s super simple, just a web server with a call to file transfer, that’s it.

Good little one-trick pony, well done, hard to explain because it’s unlike any other transfer program, it NOT a manager.

    Installed successfully.
However, I am unable to get it working.

After scanning the barcode, it loaded into the Safari…. and it won’t load out anything…. until the loading expired.

Does anyone have this problem? Can anyone offer some advice?

    Thanks!!

This technology has been out a long time (free) with the Send Anywhere app. The advantages to SendAnywhere is that it has the ability to send files, pictures, etc., not only from the smart phone, but from computer to computer. It too is fast and does not seem to have the limitations that this ScanTransfer program has.

Did not work. Serial number is wrong. A complete waste of time!
