Well, this seems to be a mixed bag offering. On the pros side, it is free, and presuming the software is reliable and lives up to its claims, it will allow 120 documents to be put under secure control. That’s an $89 product/service, according to their web site, or approx $1.50 per document. If you publish articles and lectures often, as I do, this seems to be a reasonable cost to limit — or track — complimentary copy distribution. Cons, well it is not free, and in order to get the most benefit, it seems to take some specific, nontrivial effort to manage the distribution process. I’ll give it a try! (If I was a lawyer, doctor, or patient trying to control access and distribution of confidential information, I’d probably have more interest too.)

‘unlimited usage for up to 120 documents’
Obviously usage is limited to 120 documents.

I don’t understand all the negative votes. Is this a bad product or simply not useful to those voting? It looks like it does a lot of good things, though I’m not sure whether xSecuritas can read any files I might put on their server. I can’t think of a reason why I would use this but can easily see applications for others. If I send a file to a doctor, financial person or even someone at work, their systems are all locked down and would never be allowed to access the xSecuritas server. Maybe a book publisher? Might be useful for me if I ever become a guitar instructor and want to send out lessons with limited distribution.

    To create a secure document:

    1. Select the document.
We can support Office files, Image files, PDF, and more.
    2. Proceed with encryption and authorization related tasks on your PC.
** Never keep your documents on the server.
    3. Deliver the created security document to the recipient using e-mail or etc.
    4. Recipients can view documents on PC, MAC, Android, iPhone, etc.
