Now come on, be honest. How many of you were thinking of the Vashta Nerada when you saw this? That was the first thing that came to my mind.

I had this on my previous computer and I am pleased to receive this for my new computer. It is a nice program and works well. I would certainly recommend this to anyone seeking a program like this. Thank you Shadow Defender for this offer.
The one area where I would like to see improvement is the ability to commit the data when exiting the shadow mode. There is an option to commit but the process is not clear to me. It would be nice if the data was either saved or not saved. I use it to test a program. I decide I like the program so I should be able to exit shadow mode with the program saved. Instead I have to reboot, lose the saved program, and then repeat the install process. I think the commit option lets you choose a folder to be saved. But does choosing the folder also save any changes the folder makes to the Windows registry? What if I install two programs. can I commit two folders?

Sorry to piss in everybody’s cheerios, but this is version .608 and I have had .648 for …… at least ….. a year?
And it’s hungry and wants to update. Gotcha. The dev isn’t stupid, but he is deceptive, like many others, gives you an old version, and then cripples it when you update, which is like…. right away…. but the giveaway is over. Gee.
That would make me so mad, I wouldn’t buy it no matter how good it was.
But I have it on all my systems, and love it. Just don’t update, unless you want to pay. Giveaway? or trap.

[@Ed] Shadow Defender does not automatically update, also there is an option to disable automatic update “checking” in the settings menu if you do not wont to be bothered or informed I should say of newer versions.
@Bob Yes, I have mine set for “disable auto update” but that’s not my point. Why “giveaway” .608 which is apparently not as good as .648 which has been out for quite a while ? Here, your egg is not really cooked all the way, but enjoy it anyway. Why not show what the product actually has matured to? Oh yeah, if the dev does that, then it would actually BE a giveaway….. at least for a while.
It’s a great product! Maybe I just don’t understand the word Giveaway. I guess I should look that up.
I have an earlier version which I really like and wanted to update to this one. Unfortunately while installing it I got a message saying that KB3185278 was not installed on my computer. I downloaded that update manually and ms reported during setup that KB318278 was not applicable to my computer (Home Premium Windows 7) That rules out the software for me. Has anyone else had that issue?
